I know there is the William Webb-Ellis angle but I’d prefer we stayed away from it. He didn’t create Rugby football for one.

Great to see a little clip of the great Colin Dixon and I always thought the legendary Gus Risman was a full back, not a stand off. So yes with Webb Ellis and Les Diable Rouge (for all the United fans) we might have a little heritage. Keep working Carnster, we might have a brand and the outline of a marketing plan soon! Where did you see the clip of Colin Dixon? Re Gus Risman, I think he was primary a centre, played the latter part of his career at fullback. such was his ability he could play anywhere in the backline. for G.B. as well

On a clip about Heritage that Carnster put on the site. Gus was picking up the CC and had 6 on his back. Colin Dixon was in the same piece of heritage film. I think it was a club advert for the last round. All only very brief.

Gus Risman could play in any position. If Risman played today you would have seven marquee players in one.
