LINKYIt isn't the best survey ever but I would encourage all fans to take part. Some of the questions require multiple responses (which aren't possible) and there seems to be a bit of overlap, but that's just me nit-picking.

Agree its quite repetitive in parts , asks for multiple choice answere but doesn't give the option to answer fully , would also have benifited from a closing option to insert or expand on some answers, not everything is black and white.

You can see the underlying thread concerns heritage values. At least it will give the club some indication of the views surrounding name changes, providing the survey gets a reasonable response.

I have a feeling I know which way this is going to go...
I can see a re-brand happening in some format, and possibly a move away from the AJ Bell. Financially the stadium is what is costing the Club the most amount of money, and even if we managed a steady 6k at home matches it wouldn't cover it. I think the Club will compromise on the name change and either add Salford to the current brand or retain it in some format, but I can see a move happening. Unless there's some reason the Club is tied to the stadium legally I can see it happening.
Salford & Manchester Red Devils? To play out of the Academy stadium?

I remember an interview with John Wilkinson when we moved and he said the business plan would only work with 8k at every game and a full restaurant. I guess the deal with the stadium is a big draw on finances & we got screwed there. On the plus side my Mrs said if we get to Wembley or Old Trafford she and the kids would get season tickets. That's 3 more for next year then.

I think the club is tied to a 25 year lease on the AJ. And the Doc did say recently that he wouldn't move from the place.
The questionnaire is standard and a bit naive but why has RP been chosen? I agree with the research but branding is a very specialised field and industry pays vast amounts of money to get the right people to do it. Getting it wrong is very costly as well.
It's also good to note that the City of Salford (which became a city before Manchester) is the only city with a superleague team this side of the Pennines. It was amazing at Wigan to hear, throughout the whole match, the Salford crowd standing and shouting Salford Reds. The City needs to be persuaded to get behind this.
I asked 20 people to come on Friday. 8 are coming, 7 would have done but are doing other things and 5 are watching it on tv. But how does the club follow this up? I've sent in an email with e addresses to the club on but nothing happens. Now this would, to me, be a better thing for RP to do. Test the existing 'branding' by developing a proper marketing strategy and getting some resource to achieve it. Lots of people are now interested, talking about the club and are excited but the club need to get them there.

Done.
Seems some pretty loaded questions, I filled it in and cringed at some of the responses some fans will put and can see the petty name calling continuing on it.
What is to stop fans from other areas and clubs hijacking it and diluting the results?
I remain though dubious that this is nothing more than an exorcise in appeasement, think the Doc and the other powers that be have already made the decisions that need to be made and anything we collectively say now will have no baring on it on any level.

Salford & Manchester Red Devils? To play out of the Academy stadium? The Red Devils nickname might be a problem for the owners of that complex.

agree with the comments others have said re: some questions set out to be multiple choice and then are only single??? It felt to me it had been put together on the back of the reaction last week and to attempt to dampen the hysteria that ensued. It didn't ask questions i would have expected and was very much targeted at the history and i fear with only those still associated with the club the response will be low as my mum for instance who came all the time at the willows won't fill in as she no longer goes or really follows the team.
Regarding the stadium situation, what does a move from one rented stadium to another rented stadium achieve? We needed to own the stadium and this is where all our problems started 10 years ago. I understand where Marwan to some degree is coming from but as a 'successful' businessman, surely he did his due diligence on all these types of points.
It does baffle me his ignorance on this matter and how he cannot understand that a team who have continued to fail on the pitch, let people down the past few years of his tenure given the false promises he has made and has since ceased to stop advertising the matches other than via social media which only fans of the club who go follow in most part has led to the decrease in numbers coming. I also think the messing with days we play make it difficult for people to plan and the clashes with football and those who would choose that over rugby has been a problem also. The stupidity of playing the Toronto match at 12:15 on a day when both football teams had matches and at a time when most of the die hards who are involved with amateur game could not make because their children were playing or they were assisting as they do. Friday nights for all it's faults at least did not pose these issues.
Moving the club to play elsewhere in an area where rugby is not even a known entity would be the death of the club. The area around City's stadium is as poor as it is around Salford and a lot more ethnic minorities who have no knowledge or interest in the game are not suddenly going to flock in the 1000's to catch a game.

I agree with all of the above; the issue with moving has two parts. One is the lease of which I cannot see Peel ignoring the financial implications. The other is the position of the City of Salford. The city has financial interests in the stadium but also is owed money by the club. Salford has a political interest in keeping Salford RLFC in Salford but probably would not agree to a second stadium within the city.
It's just that I cannot see a name change bringing in enough fans to balance the loss of fans. Sale Manchester did not work.
As an aside, Manchester was made a city in 1853, Salford in 1926. However Manchester was made a town in 1301 whereas Salford was a town from 1230.

And it was the Salford Hundred, not the Manchester Hundred. The only thing going to bring people in,a successful team and not for half a season Robbie Paul should know that he was at the Bulls long enough.

There is a slant on this I hadn't thought of is this.
What if this is a ploy to put the fear of God up the council? Can you imagine the conversations at the town hall about how they have lost the cities only full time professional sports team to Manchester? Pretty sure on no level they would want this. Wonder if the Doc might throw in a caveat of sell me your stake in the stadium and we'll stay don't and toodle pip.

Not quite accurate MR.... as of pre-season 2017-2018 Salford City FC will be full-time pros.😊

The survey was far better than I thought, and plenty of opportunity to give considered answers. Easy to criticise but I felt it had been thoughtfully put together. They did focus on heritage but they'd have been pilloried if they hadn't . However,as this is management consultancy, they can still skew the conclusions however they want, i.e. They say ,it's very much as they expected from the hardcore fans, but they need to change to reach a new audience !

That was my thoughts bonitared, the club does need to talk to current fans but the time and energy could be better spent engaging with people in the City and surrounding towns that don't come. Get a highlights video on a loop playing in the Arndale or Trafford Centre with some of the players handing out flyers etc. I won't name names but my teenage daughters (and wife) both said some of the players would attract a fair few followers and generate a lot of interest loitering round the Trafford centre handing stuff out, flyers freebies, discount tickets etc
