No Josh Jones, Lama Tasi (suspended) or Niall Evalds in the 19.

Not sure how Wattos gonna play this, but I would expect Carney to start on the bench which leaves us a forward short, so maybe when he comes on Lui moves to 13 to give a forward a rest? As we know Griffin, Koppy, Krasniqi and Flash can all play big minutes.
I'd hazard a guess at;
1. Obrien 2. Carney 3. Sau 4. Welham 5. Johnson 6. Lui 7. Dobson 8. Kopzack 9. Tomkins 10. Mossop 11. Griffin 12. BMM 13. Flanagan
14. Carney 15. Brinning 16. Krasniqi 17. Walne / Lannon
With Jones and Tasi out leaves us a bit lite forward interchange wise.

Both Bibby and Lannon played for Halifax last weekend and were part of their win over Broncos: I'm suprised that they're not required for the cup game v Hunslet

Assuming he's fit,it's surprising there's been no uproar about Evalds exclusion.

I think it has been said elsewhere, Evalds was using a turnstile defence strategy last week which cost us dearly in the end. He will have to wait until a wing position becomes available. He has lost pace too so I don't expect him in the side anytime soon barring injury/suspension.

Looking forward to a good game. Somebody has to stop Cas and I don't see why it can't be us. I'm not going to make bold statements about giving them a hiding but I've a sneaky suspicion we might nick it. 18-10 Salford

Assuming he's fit,it's surprising there's been no uproar about Evalds exclusion. He had a stinker last week, let two tries in. With a decent in depth squad if you are not performing at elite level you get dropped.

Typical of Salfords bad luck is that the game seems to have been rescheduled to deepest mid winter it's that cold and wet.
I fully expect the M62 to be closed, a blizzard to hit and to be reduced to 3 players after the traditional high 5's with the ref pre game gets misconstrued.

Wow What a win Very, very proud to be a Salford fan today. Not the free-flowing try-fest that many expected but both teams played to the conditions. In most previous years we would have lost that game I reckon but we did really well to stay in it and we dominated for long periods Great win But seriously, my nerves are shot again Salford

Oh an as I've just said on RLFans Virtual Terrace.... Gaz O'Brien needs to stop this habit of missing kickable conversions so he can claim the glory with a late drop goal!

Heart attack stuff at the end! Great team effort today. Everyone played their part, but the forwards in particular were excellent. Murdoch-Masila has been really good since he's come back from injury and he certainly made up for the incident at Wakefield last week. I thought that Walne had one of his better games and did well when Kopczak was rotated. Krasniqi was as dependable as ever.
I would have liked to have seen Todd Carney make his debut. A bit odd that he was in the 17 and didn't come on for his debut. Seems like a waste of a sub for me.
To keep a free-scoring Cas to 12pts AND get the win is a great effort by the lads today.
I also though Phil Bentham did well today and kept the play going. Not often you can complement a referee in Super League but today has been one of those rare occasions.

Agree we both walne and krasniqi, both really played a part
I think Watson realised the game was to be won and lost in the pack today with the weather and rotated them more than usual, I like the fact he didn't just use carney because he was there. Shows strong management.
Fantastic result, defended superbly and possibly could have had a few more tries.

Be nice to get a nice easy win one week instead of these nail biters. Hopefully Widnes next week. But well done to everyone. Great result and a great win.
