It's tactical to show we aren't desperate! its also illogical. If we were busting a gut to sign Hardaker to play centre,why would we now say the squad is complete. We need a centre and I'm pretty certain we'll sign one How do we know we were even in the running for Hardaker? And I think we all agree we should definatey be in the market for a centre. If this is it.It could be a long season. |

Not too worried with the centre situation as i assume we'll either see Jones play their where he won the grand final in that position or Evalds. If we see Jones play there which will have Huaraki in the SR with Lannon off the bench and Bibby, Evalds and Williams providing cover.

Someone suggested that his goal kicking success rate is almost exactly the same as GOBs.
He'd be a handy winger,if Vidot wasn't coming back but otherwise any spare money should go on a quality centre

I don't understand why people can't see what a brilliant, brilliant signing Josh Mantellato would be. You just have to see past the fact that Salford need a centre, and he's not a centre; that positions 11, 12 and 13 pretty much pick themselves, and he's not a forward; that the club already has four wingers; that he's not better than any of them; that he's probably not even as good as some of them (would you play him ahead of Carney or Evalds?); that he's pretty slow for a winger, and Salford are already well catered for in the lack of pace department; that he's no better a goalkicker than Gareth O'Brien; that he'd count on the quota; that Salford likely don't have a quota spot left after signing Lama Tasi; that he'd take a chunk of Salford's limited salary cap; that that limited money would be better spent on a centre or a back rower. Pah! These are just details.
