That's how my divorce started! I see everyones point about British player right attitude etc and it's a steady signing but not much to get excited about. Vidot was a wow signing and when he went I was hoping for something similar that's all.... Still think there are more to come and if the right 'name' became available think we might have a look see.

I believe we have made a positive signing in bringing in Kris Welham, I also Expect another signing to complete the squad.

I must admit when I watched "the metre eater" smashing through defensive lines for fun in the best league in the world I thought he was going to be a wow signing for us yeh as I suspect a few others did.

We missed out on Sidlow, signed for the Wolfpack

We will see how good the squad is when the million pound game is finished and we know we are still in this league. You must be a laugh a minute, Dixon13. If Salford causes you so much anguish why do you bother? Genuine question as in your 115 posts all except the historical stuff is negative. If something causes me to be constantly miserable I tend to avoid it. I said what quite a lot of people are saying the squad dose not fill you with confidence I hope I am wrong,we will see.I thought that this forum was for opinions, even if you didn't agree. But the bookies have us to finish in the bottom four are they being negative.

We have literally the same 13 bar one as last year. The year which we ran most top teams close and beat a few good teams such as Cas away which we haven't done in years. The only real problem we had last year squad wise was the lack of decent interchange forwards. We have adressed this well with Tasi,Mossop and Murray. With Whelham,Flynn and the aussie utility I do believe we are looking good for the season ahead.

It is for opinions, and my opinion is that you're a very negative individual and was asking why? You don't counter-point anything, or provide reasoning as to why the team wont be any good. If you did, people could offer support or criticism evenhandedly. Making every post you make just a statement of your own personal depression towards the Club makes it difficult to respond in any other way than bafflement... You could well be correct in your ultimate judgement, but at this stage of the season, before a ball's kicked, how hard can it be to reel-in the pessimism? After all, pre-season is usually the happiest time to be a Salford fan.

Except last season Carnster when I was most happy (and relieved)as that ball went between the sticks!!!
I must admit that I may have an addiction to watching that match. Hopefully more good memories this season to add to my viewing would be good.....starting 13.15 Saturday 11th Feb!
I think the squad looks good. Like stated already, Forward line been boosted, Lui hopefully fit now, Evalds will get a regular run in the team (hopefully) and maybe another player in the wings to come!
I can't see why this team can not finish 6-8th place this year.

Pretty much spot on, we've lost 2 good players from the back line so still think we are one signing short but the forwards are much stronger and I do think by this time next year we'll all be singing the praises of Brinning.

Brinning is the player I'm most excited about tbh. I'm hoping he'll grasp his opportunity as he's naturally talented. May take him a few games to get into the stride of things, but I'm sure he's going to prove a real coup for the Club if handled correctly.

Think from what I've seen and read about Brinning he has the chance of turning into a Daryl Clark type hooker. Hope he gets his chance as could turn into the championship purchase of the season for SL.

I ll like to see wood get chance at SH or SO. Especially if it gives Lui a breather when he needs it. Maybe Dobson too I guess.
I know we have Brinning and he looks a talent but I would like to see wilkinson get a run this year too. Young talent of our own needs a chance too, if just a glimpse of them!

As much as i'm excited to see Brining perform i don't we'll see as much as him as we would all like unless Logan gets injured. Wood will be the most likely choice as the interchange hooker as he's is the one most proven in SL. Unless Wood fails miserably which i don't think he will i do believe Brining will spend most of the year at Halifax which will be good for his development.

Brinning certaintly does look to have that bit of something special. Sure we'll get to see him in the 3 friendlies.
Just hope Watto develops him right and if he does turn out to be a gem we keep hold of him.
Just makes you wonder how non of the other big teams hadn't snatched him up, or is the trend now the big clubs don't go looking at the lower divisions, they just nurture their own talent?

Think it's more now that the pivot positions are now seen as that important they only look in-house or bring in a big name import, the more situations like Sandow and Segeyaro occur the more chance this will change.
