In my opinion we should have taken the 2 on offer under the sticks, otherwise I thought we performed well. I was happy we went for the extra 4/6 points TBH instead of taking the 2. As brilliantly as we defended you just felt that Wigan would find a try from somewhere as top teams do. If we score from that set it's effectively game over. Plenty will disagree with me but at the time I thought it was the right choice. We had them on the rack.

What a shame SRD desrved a much closer run thing at worst. And I think people need to stop scrambling around for who to blame. Give over. You don't think the players are to responsible for those last 10 minutes? It isn't blame, it's identifying areas we need to onprove. We were awesome for 70 minutes. Then lost our cool and composure as soon as they went down to 12. We did the same against Saints and that is something hat a professional sports team needs to accept, look at, and fix. Passing the ball to Atkin and being tackled on the last play when we had momentum. The ball should have gone on the ground which has been causing them problems. Getting tackled and dragged back over the line is poor. It had happened earlier and you need to be aware. Run the ball out and dive down towards their legs. Yes, the ref will call surrender and they can hold you down longer. So what? We're winning and we want the clock to run. Kicking the drop out short. Shocking decision given the circumstance. We're winning. Wigan were down to 12 men and we had been defending well. Get he ball as far away from the line as possible. Offisde at the KO. This is just unforgivable. That was out final hope of getting back possession of the ball. We were class for 70 minutes. Hardly put a foot wrong. There are loads of positives. The effort was immense, especially given some players weren't at 100% and we had players out injured. We've clearly worked on our discipline too. And, at times we look dangerous against a top defence. Plus lots of other great things... but that doesn't hide the discussion about the final 10 minutes or how we have responded to teams going down to 12 men the past two weeks. Objectively that is something the team must work on. We threw that away in the final 10. Also, more constructive criticism, we should look at how Wigan defend their edges and replicate it rather than rushing out and leaving space. Our squad it took tin to challenge for the GF. But, given how we've played this year, if we fix up that edge defence and play smarter situationally we could have a real punt at the CC and get a trophy. Give over BDD you're lucky to have a side as good as this one to follow and watch but if you want to waste your time blaming players that's fine, carry on.

Apart from two brain farts at the end of the match, we were very good. Especially seeing as we are a patched together outfit at the moment. I'm sure Sneyd will never do anything like that again and was a shame it defined the match for us, but I suppose when you take all the plaudits, you've got to take it on the chin when you mess up.

Wigan full strength team , world club champions, spend about 2x Salford budget, rested half a team against London
Salford 8 out, 4 who had not played for the Club before inc one signed in the week plus one back from long term injury, having played and beaten the previous World Club Champions the week before and a hooker who’d been ill and possibly shouldn’t have played, and who’ve lost 3 of their top players before the season started because the Club heavily in debt
Sneyd , not missed a goal kick all season and now record Club points scorer…man of the match for this and past 3 matches…the drop kick…it went to McDonald, how much is he to share blame. Presumably the RL will find some way to ban Sneyd now, he’s too good😉
The ref,….i just don’t understand a no of decisions, 6 again I’ve not a clue, offside Wigan of course never, Brierley the first take out by Smith why go to a video ref, not,
17 Salford players who played their hearts out, everyone couldn’t have an ounce of energy left and a coaching team , for me, the best in the League, creating a band of brothers, and the thing keeping the Club going
When I saw the team sheet I thought if we keep the points difference to under 30 we’ve played well….complain if you wish, but surely not about the players or the coaching staff….officials, lack of money generated by the Club, tactics of Wigan, whatever, but not that team and esp not our no 7, who’s totally gutted

In fairness to sneyd it was a good drop out I thought nofaluma should have got it myself!although apart from getting the ball we would have still been stuck 10 yards out!I thought everyone put a shift in the new ones foster Ryan nofaluma and dudson did there best not easy shuffling so much let’s hope the lads are over illness next week and partington and mellor are back soon, sneyd according to sky may get a ban though now!

Reds were the best team by a Country mile, our team spirit must be the best in the league I have nothing but admiration for them, only wish we had a bit more money, my only criticism, the Pies are absolute shite, I mean the Meat and Potato not Wigan, come to think of it they were shite too.😂😎

Proud of the lads last night the only thing that comes to mind of the season so far is the last 10 to 15 minutes we seem to crumble whether it's because they have give there all or not fit for 80 minutes or training tells them to rush at it for 60ish minutes then try to hang on .This season has been amazing for us but looking back at the games the last third of the game we blow it ... thoughts?

No, not really Carnster I think some people have short memories that's all.
I couldn't be happier at present unless we'd beaten them last night.

The six again is one of those mysteries wrapped in a riddle covered in enigma etc. It may be why the NRL only apply it now again rather than the SL/RFL sawn off shotgun with confetti approach.
There was also any number of times where our players couldn't get up after the tackle which was both worrying and needed examining.
