Christ I don’t think we will get out of our half with that pack!dixon?!I know the club will be slagged about lack of props but they did give rowley the budget for a prop from overseas and he bought a winger!we were close to Hiku from Canberra but he pulled out!think we will see brierley going stand off at some point with Ryan on bench and atkin to hooker to give borough a breather!

He did say we only had 18 fit players. These are the ones then.

Brierley's lack of positional sense cost is there
Great effort considering illness and injury though

What a a great half against the odds. Shame about the try on HT. I thought Brierley was too close to the defensive line and didn't move across fast enough. He needs to be a bit deeper there and have more urgency to follow the direction of the ball. But, we had a great half all things considered. King was very good in his stint; he put in some very good tackles. Lafai and Nene have shown their quality again. Hopefully, this illness that some players have doesn't cause us to fade in the second half. If we can maintain a defence like this all season we'll win more than we lose!

Unlucky but nothing this team can't handle TBH!
And given the number of enforced changes that's brilliant!

Brierley's lack of positional sense cost is there Great effort considering illness and injury though Agree. When you have Field and French going sideways like that you've got to have more urgency to move across quicker. If they drop the ball back inside the defensive line is there. Nobody is there is the ball goes into the space behind the centre and winger.

I really wish our three-quarters would move up a little and slide instead of rushing right into the opposition line. It opens you up to he long pass or kick behind every time.
Look how Wigan defended our shifts to the left and right just before we scored (assuming the video ref gives it).

I can't believe that last play there. Passing to Atkin to be tackled. We'd been building a lot of pressure too and allowed Wigan easy possession to get down the field. Against 12 men too.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. I expected to lose today but I'm fuming with that. Ridiculous getting tackled back into the in-goal for a second time and a stupid decision to kick short from the drop out.

That's unforgivable. Penalty from KO. So disappointing.

Should be booting that down field as far as we can, then offside at KO, ah well not embarrassing result but could have come away with the 2

What is it with us against 12 men? Saints go.down the 12 and we play ridiculously for 15 minutes, they scored and then we reset and play normal again. Wigan go down to 12 and we play an awful boneheaded last 10 minutes. I'd have taken a close loss before the game. But, after 70 minutes we were the best side. We're winning and they go down to 12. We just needed to manage the game out, but instead come up with stupid plays.
