That's interesting... However, we traditionally create far more on the right then left. Burgess didn't score many at all and surely you want your best winger on the side we attack most (didn't he play right when he won't winger of the year?)
Maybe it signals a shift of intent and that we'll target the left more?
We also concede more on the right, so I'd want my better player there.

Whats also interesting is we now have 2 left handed half backs. I wonder if that has impacted a potential changed in attacking intent. Most team i think attack more left side due to more right handed players. So maybe we bluff them all and go right. Or double bluff and go left now? I'm confused and need to sleep

I think people are overthinking this.
Nofoaluma is a try scoring machine. Play him left or right and he will score a bagful. I think you put him outside Lafai or MacDonald and he'll do well. Either way, that's one scary edge for oppositions to deal with. Traditionally he played on the right for Wests, so will be interesting to see where he ends up.

There's a bit of a tendency to overthink when you spend most of the time worrying.
Nofoaluma (still trying to make sure I spell his name correctly) is a real worry for any opposition and will give even more go forward out of the red zone.
You have to hand it to the coaching/office staff for getting this one over the line at this time of the year. This won't make any difference for those suffering from PFS though!

I agree that he'll score tries on either edge and we have two quality centres. But, as a team we seem to target the right edge more. Burgess was a capable try scorer. He averages 0.8 tried a game at Wigan. But at Salford it was 0.425 tries a game. By comparison, Sio averaged 0.75 tries a game at Salford. Sip even got 19 f/tries from 20.games.when we had no Brody or Hastings and Richard Marshall was in charge.
So long as we send the ball Nofoaluma's way, he'll score, no doubt, but we need to play to the left edge more.
I'd prefer him on the right because Watkins and Nene is better than Stone and Lafai. Also, put right edge is where we concede the highest percentage of tries. Maybe having him there will help stop some at our end.

Am sure a number of them can, doesn't change the fact that players have a preferred side to pass, tackle, hand-off etc from. All things a coach needs to consider in defence and attack to get the best out of them

Inu on Nofoaluma: “I think he brings a lot of experience. We see him slotting into that spot where Sio was and we’ll see how his connection is with the other players.”

Been told he will 100% make his debut on Saturday night, we need a winger of his class.

Hankinson is mainly a centre but with his size, speed and skill could fit into the second row aka Watkins
