Is there any wonder some people haven't renewed due to the amount of negativity on this board and across social media? Some people are easily swayed by others attitudes towards the club and for the last 5/6 months I'm sick of hearing all the negative crap. Bar the Koukash era, Salford haven't had a pot to piss in in the 35 years I've supported the club. The past 12 months have been no different, yet the constant bile and negative crap you read on X/FB etc has obviously taken it's toll on people. Nobody is saying our situation is "sunshine & roses" but some of us are able to view the club's situation in a glass half full way. We've had some great rugby to watch the last few seasons and the club is well run. We've been hamstrung in various ways (COVID/Stadium/funding cuts) yet IMG have given us a positive grading and off-field activities have come on leaps & bounds with engagement, women's team, reserves etc. If we get long-term stadium security I've every faith that the club will kick on massively and we'll thrive. The problem is every time a rumour starts about the club it seems a massive proportion of our fan base haven't got the cognitive ability not to go into complete meltdown and there's a massive over-reaction which spreads like wildfire. Great post Salford Slim some people just moan rather than step up to the plate and assist the club by giving time. I think a lot of the neg heads have gone quiet on Facebook, I do not use Twitter. If we get 2-3 more in the short term our squad will be decent. Saturdays fan engagement was excellent. [br |

Personally I don’t think the club have been great at telling people where we are at as you say we no there looking for more players to to the average fan who’s not on a forum all your seeing is bad news off the club

It’s kinda funny if someone even criticises the club you lose your **** about people losing there ****. Until the stadium deal is done we’re in no better situation then we was a few months back. This is where the council needs to pull there finger out

Well I think there's one or two Abba songs in there but it's mostly Leonard Cohen tbh.
CM you too can think what you like as I believe England is a least doing a Bobby Davro impression of a free country!
We all have opinions which is what makes a forum work Or what makes 'em miserable?
BTW are people still thinking/hoping for a signing or two? And is that just wishful?
I think we've gone through a whole team of suggestions on here since budgie took the mickey alone!

Think we’re all hoping but guess only time will tell I think that although the club is improving in its fan engagement it's still behind other clubs in the keeping fanbase informed. We all know the reasoning behind this but things like being in the market for a positional signing is neither a state secret nor the time for a game of chinese whispers! |

A lot depends on what they have to say.
I have never seen anything from RFL, Superleague of SRD about any "special measures". However, if the the true state of affairs is the club are looking at filling the quota spot and have a couple of players in discussion - but can't continue because of "special measures", saying so would be VERY negative. Best to say nowt??
