Gerrard was not present and I’ve not seen him training I assume injuries have taken their toll. As for new signings Mr Millward pointed out the Prop Pye, he’s a work in progress. Find it abit mad that the club doesn’t put something out about pye being on trail or something they took him away so must rate the lad and let’s be honest we’ve had very little positive news recently so. As for recruitment I really hope we can get these props in before the start of the season we need to start fast and maybe this back as I’m dreading atkin on the wing

Good number of fans there. Would be interested to see how many punters registered an interest. I think you have to do these things consistently over the years. The regular exposures gets long term results rather than quick wins. I was talking to the club for a little while yesterday, Salford 1963 probably has a better view being closer to those in charge. Anyhow paying Jenna to run the 2 plus hours was a fantastic idea, the whole experience felt professional and engaging. In addition the footfall through the Trafford Centre will have been 10k plus making visitors stop and question the event and SRD. Yes the benefits here are longer term. The short term was the club put an offer out on East Stand Tickets v Cas on 25th Feb and these were being snapped up some by new fans, I bought 4 x tickets myself for fans who don't come to matches regularly. The club seems very pleased with how the launch went yesterday. As for signings, we are after a Prop and a 3/4. We tried to sign Peter Hola and offered terms but he did not want to leave Canberra in the end. Blease is finding options and the club are considering 2 x Props and a Back, however Rowls is very selective, he's the decision maker it is his team. I am not sure if we are still under special measures with the RFL but that means we can sign players but not register them without RFL approval, this may hold up recruitment if still applicable. The positive the past few weeks is that now the club have certainty on the ground in 2024 and all being well beyond fans have become more invested again. The Season Tickets sold are pushing 2,000 it was 2,600 last year but there is still time before the season has kicked off. All being well yesterdays showcase will push even more Season Tickets with the Socials coming off of the back of the Season Launch. To those fans still on the fence Re Season Tickets please invest, we have a great bunch of lads in this group who will surprise many teams this coming season. The coach and team need our support. Hmm 600 ish down. Question is how do we get them to re new a media day won’t help that more for new fans only thing I can think of is new signings it that’s hard with no money. Can’t see many renewals unless we have a good start or a good result at saints. I was surprised they didn’t announce squad numbers were the last to do it and thought it was a perfect opportunity

It’s not negative it’s realistic you won’t get those fans back with a squad of 24 which includes 2untried youngsters and two crocks in sidlow and Dixon!were 3 weeks away the club can’t even give squad numbers out and no sign of reinforcements regardless of what rumours are going round so it’s not going to bring the 600 back I’m afraid because there’s been to much damage with all the money in then the loss of 3best players people just will wait and see!

The squad numbers will be revealed at this coming Wednesdays media day. If we add a couple more to the squad which is the clubs intention then great. I’m positive about this season as are the bulk of our fans who attended Saturdays Season Launch.

Bouncing continually from looking forward to giving up partly as a result of how miserable the "realistic" posts on here actually read.
Makes me wonder if people read what they type, to be honest!

You can think what you like russ if you optimistic that’s great. Personally I believe we’re mid table. Sunday will be a great test to see where we are at. Regarding st the club keep saying we need more but sports fans are funny and seems along won’t invest while there’s so much uncertainty. Is that counter productive definitely but that’s what a good amount believe. Hopefully we start fast and get some momentum

CM you too can think what you like as I believe England is a least doing a Bobby Davro impression of a free country!

Some people are easily swayed by others attitudes towards the club and for the last 5/6 months I'm sick of hearing all the negative crap. Bar the Koukash era, Salford haven't had a pot to piss in in the 35 years I've supported the club. The past 12 months have been no different, yet the constant bile and negative crap you read on X/FB etc has obviously taken it's toll on people. Nobody is saying our situation is "sunshine & roses" but some of us are able to view the club's situation in a glass half full way. We've had some great rugby to watch the last few seasons and the club is well run. We've been hamstrung in various ways (COVID/Stadium/funding cuts) yet IMG have given us a positive grading and off-field activities have come on leaps & bounds with engagement, women's team, reserves etc. If we get long-term stadium security I've every faith that the club will kick on massively and we'll thrive. The problem is every time a rumour starts about the club it seems a massive proportion of our fan base haven't got the cognitive ability not to go into complete meltdown and there's a massive over-reaction which spreads like wildfire.

Great post Salford Slim some people just moan rather than step up to the plate and assist the club by giving time. I think a lot of the neg heads have gone quiet on Facebook, I do not use Twitter. If we get 2-3 more in the short term our squad will be decent. Saturdays fan engagement was excellent.
