Does anyone have any ideas or any thoughts on how to raise funds or the profile of the club

Idea 1 (one for your Business Group Pete…need to be brave to succeed)
We are now a Community Club with a large number of shareholders of equal value
In line with best practice of Community Clubs in other sports, then only employees of the Club should get free entry/ hospitality into matches. So ancillary staff, friends and families, Board members etc etc should all buy tickets/ boxes/ hospitality/ travel etc…in the spirit of a Community Club with many shareholders..special events for school children etc might be exempt but sponsors could pay for their support.
Say 200 freebies at an average of £30/40 per match for say 15 home matches (+some away matches), might raise in the order of £200 x 35 x 15 ~ £100k. I’m sure somebody has the facts on this
But easy money if implemented really…better than selling a player😉. And it would show real leadership

Before I start is anyone on here have close connections or anything with the club or with anyone who works at the club. I’m only asking because if some ideas are good the club can be made aware or if some ideas aren’t good instead of shutting that idea down it can be explained why that idea won’t or can’t work As a business group we will have regular sub-committee meetings and the first one is this Friday. Feel free to share your thoughts on here or privately with myself or other sub-committee members on here How did the Sub Committee go?

Feel free to share your thoughts on here or privately with myself or other sub-committee members on here How did the Sub Committee go? It was a good session and great to meet like-minded fans. It’s early days but we agreed there are some things we need to get after straight away and other opportunities require much more work. The obvious opportunity is to utilise our reach across our business contacts to drive home the club’s key messages. We expect to share more in the coming weeks

What else can you share from the meeting
How cool would it be if the club foundation and supporters trust put on a variety night like they used to do at the willows The foundation did one at the Lowry few years ago after showing the willows film it was a really good night some great acts on show It could bring some good money for all 3 parties

I also wonder if the club asked the supporters if they could raise some money to help the funding cap if they would have raised enough so we didn’t have to sell any players Me myself would have been happy to give at least £50 to help if our few thousand fans did at least £50 we could have raised a few hundred thousand
Another idea we have a lot of local or greater Manchester businesses and some Salford businesses involved what if the club creates a business committee for local businesses who are interested in the club. Could be useful having business people onboard with the club

The commercial business plan is Muti layered, some great initiatives. There’s no point Salford 1963 sharing it on here, those who want to get involved can join him in the Sub Committee. Some fantastic advocates helping Chris Irwin.

Agree MTR. Big plans for the future etc need to be coming from the club itself. People leaking stuff via forums, SM etc isn't the way forward.

Sometimes it's cooks and spoiling the broth,I am sure the people running the club are doing their upmost. And they don't need to speak to us the coverts,it's others that need to be reassured, with a bit of positiverty now and then.

Pete unless the Club has a thoroughly researched and tested Strategic 1/3/5 year Business Plan taking into account the new statements about on air matches etc, the Club will go nowhere; enthusiastic amateurism is all well snd good but decisive researched business planning needs to set the targets
Last year the plans were way out, ending with the consequence of selling three top players…needs to be far better this year; excuses are no substitute for good planning even in our continual survival mode which we too readily accept.
