I think it's great it's finally happened, I hope it makes the difference everyone thinks and wishes it will!
I'm glad this has been sorted before the next round of huge Local Authority cuts which seem very likely at present, the knock on effects of those could be catastrophic to say the least.

Being only two million for complete ownership, control as well as the possibilities for development that's good business and if it was in private hands even that idiot Garrido would be applauding.
It still remains to be seen if the move will be as influential and promising as it's been made to sound, at the moment it's only better than all the alternatives.
The looming cuts could be the real deal breaker though.

Thinking of starting a petition to rename the north stand the “Robin Garrido Stand”. He’s always been against us, so he might as well be an away fan. Who’s in?🤣

The council have acquired the historical debt too but now the future success of the land sale and subsequent development is in the council’s control now which is great. The partners in the stadium will now get to work this asset hard and drive the revenue streams to their benefit. Can’t wait to see what’s in store

The fact there are two developments awaiting to be rubber stamped once the deal is completed is a fantastic step forward. I read in another article that KFC have previously bought land opposite Barley Farm, so the future is look positive.

In memory of A J Bell, it could be called the Garrido Bell End.

Sorry if anyone has posted this already www.manchesterworld.uk/news/salford-rugby-community-stadium-council-4772641This is positive generally but last word goes to a former liberal councillor who supports Salford FC so questionable on two fronts and Garrido who points out the financial black hole but then neglects to mention it was his Tory party that took funding away to create that economic picture! And there'll no doubt be another set of don't bring up politics posts after this but it does affect everything.
It's the same the whole world over It's the poor what gets the blame It's the rich what gets the pleasure Isn't it a blooming shame?
