Seen that JJR it’s Swinton and that scum paper the MEN pushing Garridos Tory bollocks. Don’t think the MEN is capable of being positive about Rugby League .

Which means the club will be in same boat end of season desperately short of money and looking to sell I’m afraid!this has dragged on long enough now the council only put that statement out in march as there was abit of pressure on them after reports in media I certainly know from people in council they have reservations and that’s the labour side as they feel the business plan and projected figures don’t make great reading!

The finances of the Club are by no means the Council issue…the Council has supported the Zclub endlessly and should be applauded for it. If the zBusiness Plan doesn’t stack up then they shouldn’t risk buying the ground..there are lots of other pressing priorities within the City…
The Club has to run its own business, generate its own funds and act accordingly. Last season the Board appeared to be out in its zBusiness Plan by about a million and some tried to put the blame on the Council, the supporters not turning up and the RFL…but only one body developed the Plan and they’re accountable and responsible
I assume this year that the previous Board have not developed a Business Plan for the current Board reliant on the sale of the ground and income accruing from it…so it should be achievable..and assuming that the old zBoard learned from previous mistakes we should be ok.. if not then after last years debacle at least be accountable…but of course they’ve gone and left the new Board with the issues…I just hope this tears BP developed by the previous Board is water tight
Ps I don’t understand why anybody should expect or rely on a firm date…these negotiations are commercially and politically complex…until, then th3 Club should rely only on its own abilities

CM I wouldn’t give up hope we usually never hear anything at this time. I think the main aims should be to Secure Rowley, maybe he takes the Club Manager and Blease role Replace Blease..I just hope we don’t use an internal enthusiast for this..need an ex pro of standing with the right links…Blease made the Club fists of money, got the odd one wrong, but effectively ran the Club for a few years after Marwan left…that’s if Rowley doesn’t take a new role
The finances of the Club are unknown and it was a strange move by the old Board with the last season accounts when handing over to the new Board…it, at the appropriate time will be v interesting to look at the past no of years accounts to see where the Club has financially failed in having to continually sell players and rely on gifts under various guises from supporters
