Note from the club on the Owners WhatsApp group.... "Morning all. Email due out today with new AGM notice and voting form. We can post any FAQs on here and website- any queries send to owners@salfordreddevils.net. We will be asking for numbers attending nearer the time. Thanks" So basically if you're an owner and you haven't yet voted for the new society name do it today!!! There are 1000+ people who haven't done it yet. If you can't find your e-mail then check your spam folder.👍 Oh and make sure you get the AGM in your diary for Thu 23rd May. First time, when I saw the email, I had heard of an owners WhatsApp group. How do I join it? |

Club are putting pressure on the council now to complete the stadium deal it’s still not signed.

The legal process always takes time; I just hope the Club hasn’t developed its business plan expecting it to be a quick completion

I’d hope we’d have some positive news about the stadium at Thursday’s AGM but it’s probably too early to expect a signed contract though 🤞🙏 for some progress

Not into politics in the slightest, but will a general election being called have any bearing on the councils plans to purchase the stadium?

I would doubt that anything would change in the short term re grants etc and I would go as far to say that we should expect better funding for local councils🙏🤞 |

Not sure if anyone ?? JJR, LH Red or Salford 1963 went to the Lance Todd dinner last night. Just wandering if there was any updates on the stadium ?

Latest I heard was august maybe!peel dragging there feet,mayor not pushing chief exec of council to get deal done quickly so still real issues I’m afraid!

The ownership of the Stadium is necessarily a complex process.It was always going to take time and the City Council has to do thorough due diligence. I would think we have not assumed income streams in the budget from the Stadium for this season. These things always take time…a major undertaking

Well slightly off topic and I know our board get some stick but was talking to someone well involved at St Helens and he said McManus has put 2million of his own money in to help with paying players and that’s the issue,you really need money men otherwise your always up against it Ken Davy is another one without him they would be going bump,don’t think anyone won the euro millions last night did they?!

These things always take time…a major undertaking I’m not sure this due diligence is a truly relevant issue for the Council. They already own 50% of the stadium and land so the legal title isn’t an issue. I fear Peel are being unduly obstructive or never fully agreed the deal properly in the first place. It shouldn’t take almost 6 months to sort out legal contracts and conveyancing. If my staff had taken this long they wouldn’t be working for me any longer. |

There was no mention of the stadium but that wouldn't really be the right forum for any announcements if there had've been an update TBH. |
