It’ll be a stitch up mate as ever..don’t waste your time: the Private Club…but you can be on a Sub Committee to do the work😉 Your vote counts the same as every other. Use it. Voice your opinion. Got to be an owner for a vote and don't think JJR is part of the "clique".😁

Looks like Owners have received an email on CBS Board Elections. Welcome to your latest owners’ update from Salford RD Holdings Ltd (“The CBS”). Please click here for a notice of the inaugural AGM of the CBS. In accordance with the Society Rules, all existing Board members must stand down at the AGM and nominations are now being sought for members seeking election onto the Society Board. We are also pleased to announce that the CBS now has its own website We Are Salford where you will find all relevant details about the Society and full access to the Rules and the Election process. Cometh the hour........... Bring on the JJR and LH Red. If anyone is an owner and hasn't seen the e-mail check your spam folder.. I've just found mine there! AGM is 7pm on Thursday 23rd May. Looking forward to seeing the agenda/plans/proposals and who puts their name forward for the new board.

If only Pete, you know the score as much as me…the share issue was a desperate need for cash, which only reached a third of its target…politics, egotism and democracy…always an interesting exercise in intertwined objectives…’the best people for the job’…its not the hustings at Uni mate but what an interesting concept in theory Assuming we receive the match funding that was promised we will raise in excess of £2m. If realised, that becomes a down payment on the stadium and we build from there. I only joined the ST board late on in the process but the relations between the club and the Supporters Trust were rock bottom at that point and couldn’t have got much worse. I took the helm and during the following 3/4 years we managed to turn that relationship into a positive one and we started to build trust once again. The relationship has continued to thrive since I left and will be an important cog in the wheel as the club progresses its affairs off the field.

I do not know the history but your version of events Salford 1963 explains why some individuals might be frosty towards the Clubs board. Time has since moved on, we all need to get behind our club, after all its a community asset.

Presumably you can walk on water as well Pete😉 You probably don’t remember but the chair before you resurrected the ST, put in many long hours and before your time the ST raised £18k in a fortnight to secure Joey Lussick, when the Club was on its knees and many other good things…but as has been said that’s the past and we move on
You did raise the issue that the Club seems to be relying on handouts, like the £2M you mentioned, whatever that turns out to be. Commercial income needs to be raised…my fear is that if we’re relying on pre match dining at £110 per head, it’s probably a hard road…but then again we’ve really no idea where we’re going
But great that there’s a derby over the Easter period…rather better than Catalan with a few thousand there. Really looking forward to it

Really looking forward to it I remember the meeting where Ian Blease came to ask for help with the Joey Lussick signing and we raised 3k with a bucket collection. Unless you raised another £15k from an anonymous source then it wasn’t through the ST. The relationship with the club was broken and yes I don’t walk on water but I do know how to build partnerships and that’s exactly what we did. Your recollection of the meetings we had at the time are very different to my version but if it makes you feel happy that you had a plan that was ready is fine but it’s not my version of what happened

If you’d like a wager on that I’ll be v happy to oblige Please explain then John how the ST raised £18k in 15 days and where did the money come from? I remember shaking a bucket at one of the games along with the treasurer Graham Jones and Liz Wright. As usual you were no where to be seen when the hard work needed to be done so please give up this idea that you and Dave rallied the supporters to raise £18k in just over 2 weeks. If we did so I would have known about it. No doubt the treasurers reports at the time would say as much so wager what you want with yourself but you forget I was on the same committee that you were.

When I see you or you see IB, I will tell you rather than playing this out on here.
This was going before you joined: if you remember you were invited on a good while after it started. Or ask Dave C

Or ask Dave C I was at the meeting when IB, at Swinton FS, asked for financial support to secure Lussick’s signature so it couldn’t have been before I was involved. The ST raised £3k in a bucket collection towards the £11k ask and that was it unless you had a mystery donor that provided the rest.
