Don't forget the £6.50 (IIRC) they were charging for a pint in South Stand last season. That may have only been for Guinness, but pretty sure bitter/lager/cider were all stupidly priced as well. I've been to gigs in London and paid less.🙄 If the club is going to get control over match day revenues they have to get the food/drinks price competitive and make sure they serve something decent. You'd like to think that Seven Brothers would do a deal for starters (being McAvoy's & all that!). It is for Guinness. I was about to get a pint but I'm not paying £6.50 for it. Or £5.50 for a JW Lees own brew, which isn't even that price in Monton! Get Weatherspoons in 😁🤣 it's only about £4.50 for a 660ml Hazy Jane or Pink IPA. I'll pop to St Michael's on the way home and have a pint with a few other fans instead. The price issue though is too many fingers in the pie. That's the issue with franchising it out..I've never understood why people who own a stadium don't do food and beer themselves. Hire somebody to mange the bars and somebody to manage the food. Then you control the food and drink offering, can lower the prices, and still make more profit because you have the only finger in the pie (I know this isn't in the club's control, it more about lazy stadium ownership). Managing a bar is a doddle. I increased sales by 140% with better beers, spirits, bottles, introducing shots and cocktails, and advertising. At a stadium in don't need to bring people in, they are there, you just need to put the beer on tap, bottles in thr fridge, and spirits on the shelf.

Interesting we are now over 2,000 Season tickets, not sure if we've match last years 2,650 but certainly more Season tickets after the stadium announcement. Its likely a deal will be concluded quickly in March, the Stadium Wifi has been moved over to City of Salford. Yesterdays crowd was ok, we need to smash the 5k for KR at home, building on last seasons attendances is vital to getting more income in and more players.

The club just seems to be a bottomless pit. All sports clubs are bottomless pits, sport seems to be a non-profit endeavour!

And yet still takes £75k salary from the club. Whilst I don’t begrudge his work and endeavour; I do question the decisions we are making for the long term. 23rd May is the AGM for owners. I'm assuming you're an owner so get your name down for the new board (we're looking for 6-9 people I believe). Would be brilliant to see a few Deviltalk members on the board who have the business acumen, contacts and cashflow to take our great club to the next level.👏

And yet still takes £75k salary from the club. Whilst I don’t begrudge his work and endeavour; I do question the decisions we are making for the long term. It’s often overlooked that the stadium deal will unlock £2m in match funding pots. Those funds should be invested in the infrastructure of the stadium i.e buying a share of the stadium which will unlock even more revenue streams for the club. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy and with ambitious plans to drive even more income generating schemes we should have the ultimate ambition of owning the stadium outright. I’ve seen close up what Paul has done to stabilise the club and gradually turn the possibility into a probability and he should be suitably rewarded. He has sacrificed a career to help the club and to put his house on the line more than once then he deserves a salary, whether that is £75k I don’t know but if it was then he deserves every penny.
