Yes just ignore the comment I deleted. I spoke out of turn and don’t want to drop anyone in it. I got a little bit over giddy.

I’d be amazed if it was the figure but as I said he deserves every penny of what he does get paid. He has kept our club alive on more than one occasion when it would have been the easier option to throw the towel in and walk away.

It’s a loan that’ll be paid back once the club generates its own income👍

I do wish the club or supporters trust can come up with ways to generate revenue for the club and or trust They is plenty of ways to make some money … might have to spend abit to make more the Supporters Trust raised over £40k for the club last year so that’s pretty good for a bunch of volunteers. We should aim for every supporters young or old to be members and £10/£15 pa then it doesn’t break the bank. If we had 1500 adult members @ £10 average pa then that £15k before any of the fund raising starts which could add another £40k on top so you’re looking at a player’s salary with that sort of money.

Jeez another massive chunk of money. How the hell did we swing and miss so much on the budget. I know there was an RFL deficit we had to cover but thought the sales of player covered that and some. Now appears we budgeted for the stadium ownership to be completed before the season, which seems knaive to say the least.
I know the council are always going to back the club, especially with the stadium announcement. But I hope the club are held to paying this off to tax payers and its not just another lump of money handed over

Yep K budget must have been out by about £1M+ last year, selling players and Shares and still out by hundreds of thousands. We seem to blame fans not coming, business not supporting, Council being slow, RFl and Sky funds…what’s factored into this Business Plan to keep it realistic and secure? Sadly we’re still a survival Club thanks to the City
The £2M continually mentioned for a grant is not commercial money
But hats off to the City for not putting the Club out of business

Were a charity case at the moment. I am not sure how quickly we are projecting an upward trajectory once the stadium deal goes through. But I hope to God its quick as the stadium deal should be the last not of TAX PAYERS money that goes into the club. We need to stand on our feet quick sharp and hopefully this funding is unlocked quick( can anyone provide timescales against this?) This can be used to help generate new revenue streams and get us as far away from where we are now.

What are the new revenue streams? I think this is best explained by revenue that doesn't come from an old source.

I guess all will become clear over time

What are the new revenue streams? That is on a need to know basis, only Salford 1963 knows I'd assume on this group. You can see some of the changes JJR, the new fan zone bus for example whereby the clubs gets the profits. New lease will open up commercial opportunities, the community investment funding raised is sat there ready to be used against match funding when the new lease is signed. With the land around the stadium the sky is the limit for for development opportunities and adding to the fan experience. Our attendances have started strongly again this year despite lower ST sales.
