Whilst there were some dubious decisions I don’t think that caused us to lose. Felt we threw it away if I’m honest. We were controlling the game first half and then we came out second half a completely different team. That first 5-10 minutes just set the tone. I am sorry to disagree,after the sin binning the saints crowd reft the game Smith just went along with them Go down to training next week and ask the boys played today do they agree with you that we through it away I think I no what answer you get Dixon you’re right you can’t win a game without the ball. Smith was bent towards Saints, no the red vee’s fault. I just hope he gets hell next time he’s here. Ritson in touch and their first try a pass forward off our man wow we didn’t play the ball. **** off back to the services Jack your a poor Ref. |

Rowles is going to be in big trouble over this one! NO one should be in trouble for telling the truth,Smith was a disgrace pure and simple.I say the official Should come an explain some of their decisions it will not happen because they hide behind no one will do the job,as for Rowley you might as well be done for saying what you think as done for nothing,the only thing I take issue with is why coach Shook Smith's hand when he walked past he should of just shook is head. That's a bit like saying you can swear at all the other posters on a forum if they're talking nonsense, the rules are there and if you do it anyway you've got to expect problems and consequences. |

Dixons right, anyone saying we’ve thrown it away hasn’t played the game especially with the 6 again a stupid rule. Momentum like that with the decisions in the 2nd half is unplayable. However Rowley was at fault not using all our Subs that’s on him in a super close game.

It was good to see many former Red Devils players during the Parade before Kick off, Theo Fages leading the fellows with an unfrench and definitely not stylish jacket, Paul Charlton made the trip over from Australia I believe a lot of former Reds couldn't make it due to being away on Holiday, Living a fair distance away Keith Fielding now lives down in Cornwall/Devon.
Maurice Richards still managing to walk the parade slowly, even with a walking stick. Steve Rule looking spritely and showing off his sidestep to fans whole having his picture taken.

Smith did us at Wire and he did us today.
The clowns criticising Rowls need to start to understand how he operates. He is an honest man and says it how it is and we should be backing him 100% rather than 75%.

Wonder what the total cost would be and how that cost would impact the clubs financially. |

I can't see how it would be expensive to train and hire video referees as part time employees. You have no more than 6 games each week and they are typically spread over three days. Videos referees don't need to be full train on-field referees. By that, I mean, I obviously they need to know the rules but they don't need to have certain fitness levels, the ability to communicate consistently throughout a game, player management, to make decisions on the fly etc. All you need are some people who know the rules... and even then the video refs seem to get things wrong that everyone else can see. I'd do that as a part time weekend job. I bet I could do it now without training and make fewer errors.

Great effort by everyone involved at the club today. A different ref and touch judge and we would celebrated the day with a good win. One thing I will say though is, and I know every club has them. Why do certain individuals feel the need to spout negativity and the players for the full 80 minutes. There is one such fan in the west stand, he gives the players pelters when they are winning and even worse even they go behind. It’s times like now where we need positivity!

I’m virtually sure video at every game next season…but will it pick up when a touch judge standers obpver a player whips foit is in touch and doesn’t put his flag up?Ritson🙃
Sadly we don5 fully use the video refs we have at the mom3nt.

I will defend the ref he gave it as he saw it but the error was glaring.
Rowles is honest but the rules on that kind of utterance are clear.
As for Vid refs .... I'm not sure we weren't better off when we didn't have them.
The six again tends to be applied unfairly in far too many games for it to stay in the rule books. Having watched many games as a neutral I think it is only consistent when the game seems well balanced or the teams are both among the top group.
I think it was JJR who made the point about off side and holding down, but the flop has also seemed to have disappeared as a rule.

Six again rule is destroying the game, Smith gave Saints six again right on our line on the 5th tackle. Unreal, Percival was offside 3-4 yards every set and was flying out of the line yet he pull us all the time, we cannot tackle above the waist either but Saints can. I have not looked at the penalty count yet, but if we get Smith as Ref again this season at home I am staying away. The games gone, Refs cry they get abuse, it because they are ****.
Oh and I had my sister and dad with me yesterday (Wigan Fans). The question I asked them was do you get Refs this bad at Wigan, they said No. My next question was would you pay to watch a game be impacted 'one way' by a Ref, they replied No. So its not just Salford fans calling out the Ref yesterday.

It’s done now we move on. We showed enough in that game to me to say we could still get into that too 6 come end of the season as we’re only 2 points off the top 5 and those teams around us aren’t doing good as well
