Agree on Hellewell. He can play the Wright role. I've been impressed with his effort in defence and yardage.
I think Stone had a quiet game but he's been really good over the past month or so and Watkins is a stand out week in and we'll out for me.
I was disappointed in some of the defence. Sneyd running out and past Trueman which let Trueman run into the space and score was awful. There was no reason to go that deep into the their line and past the man would had the ball in his hand on your inside shoulder. The effort, or lack of, when their winger went in and then under the sticks was ridiculous. We gave them two easy points. I also don't know what was happening for Griffin's try. I could se that play coming from the stands.
But, we won. We did it again while not at our best. We turned over a team that have won four on the bounce. And, to be honest, I don't think we ever looked like losing. We gave away field position due to errors. Got to be happy winigg games like that because you can't always be at your best and winning is what's important. In the past we lose that. We've learned to win now.

The Watkins I watched on Sunday versus the one from last season are two very different beasts. If some of you think he was immense then that's fine, however I did not see that at all. I genuinely think it's not his fault though, I think it's something the second rows are being told to do or not do as Calum Watkins hitting a line at pace with his offload game is as good as anything in the league.what I saw on Sunday was not that and just a very flat line from both 2nd rows. Stone was not good and bar the pass for sneyd try was not at the races at all. As I said previously, he has no offload game so the attack seemed to stop when anything hit him. He also looked goosed after about 65 mins and was all over the shop. Not sure where those stats came from but obviously the definition of a tackle differs from mine as they both flapped at more than that. Anywho different opinions which I enjoy sharing and debating with you lot to be honest Still a belting day and a great start to the working week today with the £250k

Sometimes players just don't click. I don't think anyone should read anything into the odd performance. A mediocre Watkins is still someone who can make the difference between winning and losing. Stone has been okay for me. He's not blowing anyone away but he gets through a lot of work. I'm not sure he's worth a quota space for me as they should be reserved for players with a little X-factor, and with all respect to Sam, I haven't seen that from him.
I still don't think we've built any momentum this season yet but we're still sitting in the top six. I think this is mainly down to the fact that we're currently still in that middle part of the season where wins and losses and league positions shuffle about. It's only as we come towards the end of the season where teams know what they really need to do to cement those top six places where we want to see us peaking. I do think if someone different is going to win it this is going to be the year it happens, we just need to ensure we're in the running at this stage.

RFL defends OurLeague SRD V Hull FC Stream problems.
The RFL has responded to criticism of its Salford vs Hull FC and Summer Bash streams on the OurLeague platform.
Over the weekend the second pay-per-view Super League game of the year was broadcast on OurLeague, again featuring Salford and Hull FC.
The platform also showed some Summer Bash matches behind its digital paywall that were not televised on ViaPlay. But OurLeague has come under fire from some fans, who took aim at the quality of the streams.
According to several posts on social media, there were issues with the Super League stream cutting out and the picture crashing.
One supported posted: "Ourleague stream was **** quality for the Widnes match."
Another tweeted: "The Salford stream was **** too, the picture stuttered every 4 seconds, I turned it off after 30 minutes."
Through a RFL spokesperson they said: "After a number of successful streams this season, including the first pay-per-view Super League fixture at Hull and continuing at the weekend with the coverage of the Summer Bash, there were technical issues with the stream in the first half of the coverage from Salford on Sunday which we were very disappointed about, have investigated and addressed as a matter of urgency.
"We recognise that we need to ensure there is no repeat in the PPV games to be arranged and announced for the rest of the season – the third one will be in July."
It is believed there was a 3.3% increase on streams sold for last weekend's Salford vs Hull FC match, compared to the first Black & Whites vs Red Devils game earlier in 2023.
Nice summing up in a Technical stylie, "The Salford v Hull FC was a bit **** too
