Kendall showed remarkable pace for Burgess's try - he was almost waiting for him at the try line! He had a 10 metre start.😊 Johnstone is rapid though, when Budgie made the break I wasn't celebrating like half our fans were when I saw who was chasing him! Would be interesting to see how close Budgie would've got if the roles were reversed as it's obviously easier chasing than being chased as you have both arms free etc. Great effort from the lads though yesterday. Yes we could've executed better and made things easier for ourselves but the backs to the wall defensive effort 2nd half was magnificent and 2 or 3 massive hits stopped what looked like certain tries. Hopefully the 2 week break will allow the lads to rest up and come out all guns blazing at Headingley. On current form it's definitely a winnable game. 👹👹👹 If had off been Keith Fielding he would have had a cup of tea ready for Johnson when he arrived. |

I thought he was faster than that, still if he had to play the ball we had a player there with him and Cats didn't have anybody back. |

Watkins was pretty much the only player anywhere near as I think everyone else on the pitch had given up once the break had been made. He'd have literally just had to fall over the line if Budge hadn't made it. Did he slow down? Tough to say. I can think of numerous occasions where slower players have caught quicker ones so there are plenty of factors involved (fatigue/complacency/desire). They're both pretty rapid though. Shame we don't have the annual "Fastest Man in SL" challenge that we used to as that was always entertaining and gave players bragging rights (IIRC Jodie Broughton & Greg Johnson both won it while at Salford). |
