It is the Supporters Trust intention to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 30th January from 7pm at The Dog & Partridge in Liverpool Rd, Eccles.
A new and permanent board will be elected by the members. Members were asked to submit by 19th December 2022 if they were interested in standing for the board. Results of that will be given on the night and voted by the paid-up members.
Paul King will be in attendance and some players, only paid up members of the Salford Supporters Trust are permitted to vote, assume anyone can attend. Updates will be given on the coming season etc.

Just a reminder if anyone is going to this tonight Paul King and a couple of players will be in attendance. In terms of updates - one on the stadium situation would be welcomed, even if no news for now is good news. Are the Supporters Trust able to take questions?
If so, mine are; What is the latest on the stadium situation? & Are we looking to add any more players to the squad this year conscious we have a quota spot open?

It’ll be great to see as many Trust members down there tonight and if you’re not a member then it’s not too late to join. I appreciate that money is tight for many families but £10 goes a long way to support the future development of Salford players

I'm late travelling back from work today, if anyone is going and can provide any updates it is appreciated. Anything Paul King may say on the stadium or future plans. Good luck to the Supporters Trust with tonight's meeting.

Rowley and Kingy spoke very well. The deal on the stadium needs to be finalised before issues like the car park can be sorted but there will be a re-think on that and the council are supportive. There will be press conference in 7-10 days to announce the stadium ownership but wouldn’t be drawn on that further. Details of IMG blueprint to be announced soon but it was clear that Moor Lane was never really an option given the finances so Paul Dennett has really got behind the team staying at the stadium and he wants to make it work for us. There is some news on the community ownership model coming soon and will be pivotal to our long term future.
It was clear that the ST will play its role in supporting the vision so I urge all fans to support the club as best they can.
We will play in our 150th anniversary shirt at Leigh. It was described as similar to the Batley shirt

Community ownership makes sense given we have no financial backer. Did Rowley say anything about additions to the squad? I am guessing that the quota will be left open subject to funds and players availability as the season progresses.

Think it’s the same design shirt we played in against Widnes on the Centenary; I have the programme sponsored by XL CRISPS. Sunday 14th October 1979, 20p On Saturday October 11th 1879 played their first ever home fixture against Widnes. Result a draw Salford 1 try and 2 minor points Widnes 1 try and 1 minor point ( minor points, whatever they were, don't count) Not sure how 1873 and 1879 match up so Centenary on 1979; 150 on 2023?. Rule Fielding Stephenson Wilson Richards Gill Coulman Ashcroft Dixon Williams McGreal Prescott
Whitfield, Turnbull

He did say he’d like another back as cover but as everything does with Salford it depends on finances so that’s unlikely to happen. I think the community benefit scheme is a really important factor and feels like the watershed moment that will define our future direction. If the fans and local businesses buy shares in numbers then that will give the club the means to invest in the infrastructure that will help drive the club’s revenue streams. We need to focus on our digital footprint whilst targeting new/lapsed fans back into the stadium. Who doesn’t want to entertained by the The Entertainers? If the scheme doesn’t deliver then we need to ask ourselves whether the Salford community actually want a successful RL team

Centenary is an interesting one because 1873 is the year cavendish street boys started as a rugby team they then became Salford in 1879 so it’s a grey area really!we were already a club in 1873 but then changed name in 1879 maybe we will have another centenary in 2029!

I'd certainly consider investing if funds permit. This is the only way the club expands without a benefactor - shame Gerrard's not involved even as a Sponsor he says he's a fan.

It's just the nature of the entire history of clubs and TGG, it has to include the ru period for our team/club though in evolutionary terms it's a bit like having to include our ancestors in the animal family.

I also think the MPs and people like Bill Hinds who’s on the Coscos management committee will also have played their part..
Supporters Trust, Maurice the Red, and Gerrard for his belief and effort also did amazingly well
The Stadium should be seen alongside Salford Quays, RHS , University etc as an icon of the City. It’s up to the Club now to really work with the City to deliver the Community benefits on a big scale
And the Mayor yes, showing great leadership qualities.
