I couldn't make the meeting Monday but did ask via DM on Twitter what was happening after the promises at the last meeting only for my message to be ignored and the same old people's sycophantic questions to be answered, I mean what is more important an icon like Morley or why we don't make enough meterage when going for touch?

As I said.Mozzer wasn't offered anything. And furthermore our good Doctor didn't have the wear be all to tell him. That was left to someone else.Just looking at it I think our loss Leeds gain. And just one more thing I think Mozzer would have been a magnet for people to come.

I don't disagree with how he has or hasn't been treated and certainly if we could've kept him on then it would've been a no brainer. We all know how Koukash operates and how he goes about things it isn't the best that's for sure and certainly a legend of the game shouldn't have been allegedly treated in this way.
All I was referring to was what was inferred about keeping him in a coaching role over bringing in Poching.....surely this wasn't the docs decision did he even know who Poching was? Watson would've had a big say in who we took in as his assistant and maybe Blease?
If I let my heart rule my mind I personally (as has already been mentioned) would've kept Moz over Poching but when you look at the experience level of that coaching line up (Watson, Gleeson, Morley) it doesn't look that in depth.
Pochings coaching career; 1. Acadamey coach at Leeds 2. Somoan head national coach 3. Warrington assistant to Smith 4. KR assistant / head coach spell when Chesters left
Moz has thankfully got a new position, back at a big club where he started his career and will no doubt be of a great asset to them. I personally wish him all the success as he's a top bloke.

Introducing Mr Nail to Mr Head there. It's a choice between, on the one hand, a former international forward who has no coaching experience and once said he didn't want to go into coaching, and, on the other hand, a former international forward with 10 years of coaching experience with SL clubs. It's a no-brainer for me.

Martin Gleeson, truly an enigma and Salford's renaissance man. you rarely hear from him but he's gone about his business since being brought in by Veivers after his ban . retired , moved into the backroom staff and now assistant Coach. the last player I would have 'betted on ' to go on to be a effective coach , gambling , drug bans , Alcohol, Depression . We now have Watson as Tactician , Gleeson as Backs Coach & Poching as Forwards/ on field coach. an interesting mix of man management , empathy & experience. us forum wallers tend to needle about the small stuff , the irritating & annoying ,not to have been through the wars & survived . Gleeson- Watson thrown in the deep end & now seasoned campaigner of two heart-stopping 8's qualifiers series. .it would be life affirming & righteous that they get the results and prove the doubters wrong this season . Gleeson's Off Field Battles

Great gig at Leeds for Mozza. I am sure as others have said he will make a big success of his opportunity to coach the academy players at Leeds. Clearly that's not a position we could offer with the extinction of our own U19's.
Whether he was a luxury we couldn't afford or not we as a club did not utilise Mozza's profile, experience and reputation within the game enough during his time in our back-room staff.
He should have been utilised as the first point of contact between the club and any new signing, whether that be a promising 13, 14 or 15 year old playing for their local club or a marquee Super League or NRL player. Surely after a 10 minute conversation with Moz where he explains how he has played at the highest level, won the NRL, won the Challenge Cup yet still had a burning desire to "come home" and represent his home town club because it meant so much to him all he would need to do his hand them a pen and show them where to sign. He should also have been on the coaching staff and whilst not directly responsible for taking sessions or team selection his presence alone on the training field or in the changing room would have been immense. When he speaks I am sure everyone listens. He could have also learnt a hell of a lot over the last 12 months from Tim Sheens, much like I am sure Watto has.
No point crying over spilt milk I suppose but it is disappointing and I see his loss as far more damaging than "losing a luxury we cannot afford".

Doesn't happen often JGR but I am in total agreement, with Morley it was the Salford disease, nearly got it right but didn't quite.
I actually don't think Morley will make a first team coach but I do suspect he will become a DOR of some repute, his standing in the game internationally is second to non (for a GB player) and I get the feeling at some point down the line Leeds (or maybe Warrington) will utilise this.

I don't think anyone is implying they are happy with these cutbacks which resulted in Morley going. In truth I'm still upset over Paul Highton going, who had been with the club since 98, essentially to make room for the backroom appointments of Morley/ Carvell. I'm glad Adrian realised his final ambition to play for his hometown club, and that he's found a position with his original employer. But I'd love to see Highton back at the club in some capacity. Has Adrian made way for Blease ?

I can't answer that. But I still think Mozzer should still we with us.But I will ask you what if Tim Sheens had not gone to Hull KR would he have been sacked because we could no longer afford him.Did he jump or was he pushed.

Don't think so . no one 's doing Morley's role from last season & unfortunately it wasn't integral to the Playing staff or Admin side . We needed a CEO position & a CFO - we couldn't carry on with MK in that role . we now have Blease and Roberts .
As for Sheens - essentially he wanted to be a head coach Watson was in in his way & it stayed that way . the deal was underway in July I'm sure finance also played a part .

😠over spilled milk everyone. The job/cost was the luxury not Mozza and confusing the two may help if you want to place blame but it doesn't and won't help to do so!
