Jack Campagnolo has played and kicked very well so far. Can't say I've heard of him but he looks like someone who could do a job over here.

Sio and Lafai been called up to the Samoa squad Hope Matt Parish’s coaching doesn’t ruin them 😉
Well done to them both. Very well deserved

Group D seems to be the pick of the games so far.
Last night and tonight’s games were both excellent.

I thought the Wales 2nd tower - Antrobus? - looked very good against cool islands. Think he plays for York so might be a possible target. Only 23 or 24 I think
EDIT Just googled him. He’s a 22 year old Aussie. Wiki has no details of any playing before York

The World Cup? I would say so yes, some issues with non rugby side of it ie the sound issues on first game, ticket prices/not selling tickets for cheaper areas and the graphics showing random teams/players But… the games have been good and importantly England have started very well. Interest has naturally grown, ticket sales going up, audience figures generally decent. Good 1st week I’d say!

I hoped it would be okay, and I almost tuned in when I heard Vossy was a commentator but then I heard Jiffy was included as well and the last thing I need is a negative stuck record!

Yeah I'm really enjoying it and there's been some decent games. It's exciting to think about the potential for a 2025 World Cup with even greater strength in depth. I went to Wales v Cook Islands on Wednesday and had a great night. Wales gave it a good go (against a disappointing Cook Islands team IMO) but just lacked any real quality to punish them when it mattered.
We need to get to a state where we can have competitive tests between nations within say 3 tiers.
Tier 1 - England, Australia, NZ, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, PNG Tier 2 - Wales, Ireland, Lebanon, France, Italy, Cook Islands Tier 3 - Jamaica, Scotland, Serbia, Russia, Greece, Ghana (any other developing nations etc)
If we can get to a position where there are only 20-30 points between a T1/T2 or a T2/T3 team when they play each other that would be ideal. I think we're all sick of seeing the Aussies smash teams by 50+ and hopefully this current group of players who have opted to play for their heritage nations will be the catalyst for levelling that playing field.
