Got this email from RFL - it doesn’t say how many tickets are available & you can’t get through to AJ Bell stadium on the phone
Hi,
There are tickets available to purchase for the game tonight at the AJ Bell Stadium. The ticket office opened at 3:00pm closes at half time of the England v Fiji game but be advised that availability is limited.
Kind Regards, RFL Ticketing

I don’t think Watkins gets in the team at 2nd row ahead of Knowles, Radley, Batchelor, Bateman, we’re pretty well stacked there so centre is a good option for him. He won’t let anyone down defence am sure Yeah I get that although Bateman's a shadow of his former self from what I've seen the past 12/18 months so I'd have Kallum in before him TBH. I don't think I've seen much of Radley (if anything!) so can't comment although from what I've read online he's rated pretty highly. Knowles will be playing 13 won't he? Or will that be Radley? I agree yeh, Bateman has been pretty average this season. Radley is very good, very aggressive possibly too much so and that may spill over, he can have tendency to get himself in bother. I’d guess him at 12 Knowles at 13 but could do either. I’d say we would need to make way for both in the starting 13

Just been down , total chaos. There’s a pre Services match ko at 5 so the Parking Fuhrer Police are out as well, wanted to charge £8 to park to pick some tickets up. I don’t think so🤣 West stand few tickets left, odd numbers but sit where you can I was told South Stand open as well.

I watched the full game.
Fiji were very poor, but England actually looked pretty good. You could tell that England had decent continuity through their spine and the curse of International RL (That play is disjointed because they're all individuals rather than a team) wasn't there, which was refreshing to see in an England side. Ackers looked as sharp as ever, Watkins and Young looked a very tasty partnership, and Sneyd guided them around the park like he'd been doing it for years. Other stand-out performers for me were Luke Thompson (surprisingly) and Welsby.
Hard to gauge where we'll be against tougher opposition, but you can only play what's in front of you and they did that well. On a side note, I'm already bored of the typical RL doomsayers who provide nothing but negativity about all things. I've read meltdowns about crowds, tickets, RL in general, the RFL, Wane, selections, AJBell, Salford, England selection, England chances. It's like personal enjoyment of anything is an impossible dream that they're determined to inflict on everyone else. Honestly, is there any other sport where 'fans' are so negative and tribal?

I noted that our friends in sport have put their women's wc on at the same time as our completely coincidentally of course and nothing to do with the oxygen of media coverage being taken away.
In other new the Beeb news covered the england warm up game ... I'm still recovering from the shock, but it bodes well.

Who do you think , from the three Salford players in the England squad, will get a game on Saturday, if any?

I think they should all play. I think behind Young, Sneyd was the best player followed by Akers, Welsby and Thompson (joint). Watkins also played very well and linked up well with Young. He was better than Farnworth. I think the player most at risk is Sneyd. He may go with Welsby and Williams though that would leave us lacking in the kicking game.

The kicking game is the area where England have had a total lack for season after season.
Welsby was touted as best in all back positions by Love RL which is a bit of nonsense but such a talented player needs to be in the starting line up.
I think Sneyd will lose out to fit Tomkins in.
One of my favourite all time RL personalities Phil Gould rates England very low indeed. The nature of RL means statistically he's every chance of being spot on but it would be soooo good to prove an anus like him wrong.

Me too, though I'd rather drop Williams but that won't happen since he's a Wigan lad. I'm not sure Tomkins should be in on form so I'd also rather have Welsby there. Unfortunately, as you say, I think Sneyd will end up making way even though he was the second best player last week. Welsby could end up in centre over Farnworth, or even be utilised as a utility from the bench like Atkin this year but that would mean no Micky Mc, which I also doubt will happen. I also rather seen Welsby take the other centre spot with Watkins moving to SR over McMeeken, but Wayne seems to have made it clear he sees Watkins as a C despite losing a yard of pace.

We'll always be guaranteed to disagree with whoever is the Englnd coach but Tomkins has looked crocked most of the year and Welsby has looked the business in at FB.
Hall is another questionable inclusion.
Given the Sneyd/Ackers link I would always opt for them as the starting spine.

Tomkins is captain and, if fit, he starts. Welsby too good to miss out so plays in the halves. For Sneyd to play, Williams misses out. Wane will not see past Macilorum (pardon the probably inaccurate spelling) so think best Ackers can hope for is a bench spot. Watkins is the one I think may gat a starting place but could possibly be on the bench, given he can cover centre and second row.
