Looks like all our deals have been done for next year, unless anyone suitable becomes available late on. What do you think of Salford's chances for the Super 8's next season?

Voted no cos I can't quite believe with this squad we'll be top eight and out of the MPG quicksand.
I really hope they proved me wrong.

It's a little difficult at this stage of the season to make a prediction, and for me it's all dependent on consistency.
If we get off to a decent start, by which I mean good displays regardless of result, then I think we could crack-on and do well. Equally though, we seem to be a team that thrives on the moment and if that moment brings defeat and dejection then we could easily slip into the bottom half.
So I'll vote unsure for now.

I guess this sums the squad, SRD fans and our aspirations, up for what they are, pretty mixed up but wanting to look on and hope for the best.

I personally don't think we will be in the top eight.Has the squad been improved not in my opinion. We loose a centre we don't replace him.So for for me it's the lottery again.

Do think we'll finish 7th or 8th and that our recruitment hasn't actually ended yet. Why do people keep saying we've lost a centre, we've lost one of the fastest wingers in the league who we'll miss when/if the inevitable injuries happen.
As are kyd says it depends on confidence for me, after the MPG win it should be sky high, but this is Salford so we might look like rabbits in the headlights again.

At this moment I can't see 4 teams worse than us, so I think it will be the Middle 8's again for us next season. I'd love to be proven wrong though!

That game as gone it's in the past the only thing we got from it is a another year in Super Leagle. Yes Browns gone yes he was fast. But is defence was none existant. It's better he's gone than Evalds.

So before the middle 8s last year we were a top 8 team no problem who didn't deserve to be in the bottom 8s. Yet now suddenly after losing Griffin which time and time again have said we've got plenty of cover to replace him in Jones and Evalds we're suddenly bottom again. Are we after the past few years gotten use to extensive recruitment campaigns as we see it as the only way we'll be successful? Rubbish. We've got a decent core of a team who last year without the points deduction which took points and momentum would of been a top 8 team no doubt. We have improved on the no 1 issue of the forward pack with the signings of Mossop, Tasi and Murray.

Though I don't doubt further strengthening the centres would be ideal in JJ we have an identical replacement for Griffin and at the risk of being branded as someone who suggests players can cover other positions Evalds wouldn't look out of place playing 1 through 6.

Apparently Vidot is looking like a new player the break has done him the world of good, fingers crossed as he was on the sideline 90% of last season

All I am saying that was last season. It as gone.Leeds were near the bottom I bet they are higher than us this season.Nobody will be more delighted than me if we get in the top eight.let's see what Fred Done thinks the bookies usually get it right.People I speak with have all said the same hope for the top eight. But think we will be in the lottery again. You can't keep on about last season it's in the past some.

It's not just that Jone's weight, losing Griffin who was immense in that game, and the way other clubs have strengthened is the reason I voted NO! And as someone pointed out 4 teams worse in squad terms than us is a big ask. A Vidot able to put real effort and form in, a fit again Carney and the new Hooker could provide some of the metres required and Jones slimmed for playing in the center could all prove me wrong and I'd be over the moon. All we can go on is last year's form and the squad as it stands. I think it's improved just not enough.

We could surprise a few this year.
The ability of the squad is not in any doubt. They are a cable bunch. The only problem I have is that the teams morale and mentality are a bit up and down. If Watson can keep them focused from game to game then I can see us doing quite well. If key players step-up and become consistent then we'll do well. Players like Dobson, Carney, Vidot, and possibly Brining to have a break-out season.
