I'm going to mail the council to outline I want Salford to stay at the AJ Bell (As I have done already) and that I support any viable bid which makes this happen. In addition having a disabled relative accessibility is a priority, and then for clarity that I have not had any engagement on this matter with the Rugby League club in the 2022 season, thus do not endorse any move to Moor Lane as was muted 12 months ago.

From what I hear sale and Salford seem to be moving away from buying the aj bell as there reckoning under the current climate the way the country is money wise they are not to sure it’s wise to own it at this moment there’s a feeling certainly with sale the money is best in there hands for now rather than buying!

That is interesting King mentioned that it is likely we will be at the AJ Bell for the 2024 season and beyond season that who knows? As for Sale if money is tight then cash flow will be priority 1.

IMG consultants report.
Franchising for ‘Elite 10 league’ mooted. Be lucky if they accepted ML for second tier 10

IMG consultants report. Franchising for ‘Elite 10 league’ mooted. Be lucky if they accepted ML for second tier 10 I was afraid that that might be the best they'd come up with. No matter how many they reduce it to it is not the answer, it's not even a bit of an answer.

"Elite 10 league" Paring down for reduced funding. Sky can have 3 Hull Derbies and 2 Sts v Wigan derbies.
Mind you it suggests why Leigh/Featherstone have gambled so much: if it goes to 10 and a franchise, this will be your ONLY chance.

A league of ten teams is boring, the bias shown to St Helens this year has made the game a laughing stock. Don't want to watch a game where only 3 or 4 teams can win a Grand Final. Salford have at least tried to buck this trend in recent years.
As for the Stadium it is quiet, all is unravelling in the Union world with the finances of Worcester and Wasps - not sure how Sale are fairing? The sooner the council make a decision the better.

Don’t think it’s 10 team leagues Think they’re trying to increase from 12 as time goes on but with quality

From memory I think Sale were around £35 million in debt according to the report on finances in RU.

Refocusing this back on Salford and IMG's proposed changes to Rugby League the future of the stadium will no doubt determine our destiny. If we want Cat A it has to be remain at the AJ Bell and back Gerrard's bid.
If it is determined by the Council that Moor Lane is our new ground then that is a ticket to CAT B under IMG's new plans and a meaningless future in a lower tier.
The next month is massive for the future of this Club although the outcomes regarding the stadium are beyond the Clubs control - its now with the Council to make a decision.

The major problem with ML is that we’d be stuck with low attendances and we’d be unable to reach Cat A
