Just thinking that the Warrington match will be our first real 1st team test before Castleford. In the backs we have enough class and people will have their own preferences but the forwards… The only ones at present worth a place for me are
Taylor Wright King Ackers
So what would the pack be, and their 4 replacements? Problem to me is the tackling and allowing opposition to get the ball out. In modern day parlance ‘they’re losing the ruck’, opposition, even Swinton, gaining ground all the time, and we’re often sat on the back foot in defence.
Luckely Wells seem ok Ormondroyd Addy and Lannon no minutes really Livett and Greenwood out Akuola seems to hide Choice between Bourouh and Atkin Gerrard has potential but needs to get fit Burke Johnson steady as usual
So King Ackers Burke Wright Lannon Taylor. Subs Luckely Gerrard Johnson Atkin Not inspiring

I think he see lannon has a prop/ loose with Taylor back row until green wood back, Think lannon will need minutes in the middle

I saw the Wire v Wigan game last night, Wire were awful in attack even though their forwards made good yards. Wigan's defence was excellent and certainly sets a standard - our defence has looked slow in comparison the past couple of games, this has to improve v Wire. I think the success of our half back pairing will be crucial to the forwards being solid.
As for the Team I would give Sarge and Lafai a hit out.

Sarge should certainly play if not yet banned

They’ll probably get a run second half although I heard Sarge had hammy probs

Lafai needs to play most of the game really. Regarding the pack I’d go with.
Ormondroyd Ackers Sita Wright ET Wells
King Luckely Burke Johnson

Or I wonder as it’s only a week away from the start of the season if we’ll play our more fringe players? Hull seem to be doing a good job of getting lots of first team players injured Wonder when Greenwood and Livett will be ready?
Escare Williams Costello Lafai Burgess Academy stand off Atkin Ormondroyd Bourouh Luckely Johnson Lannon Burke

I would play our starting 13 v Wire, against Wigan Wire had near enough their starting line up out and were poor. We still do not know who are starting Props are? I would have King, Gerrard, Sita, Luckley. Also hope Bourouh gets more minutes he was lively the other week.
Greenwood and Livett will not be risked until fully fit. Also Lannon looked liked he needed minutes v Fax and Ormondroyd had a head knock within two minutes of coming on - so assuming he is ok he will certainly get game time.

Most people on here are leaving Burgess out. Is he injured again?

Lafai hasn't payed a Full match for over 6/7 Months. He's going to be a Slow Boiler.

Looking around the friendlies' news and comments, Warrington's pack has come in for some criticism. I think much is wrong as some are basing it on the average age of the forwards. Clark is a good player. So it will be interesting to compare the packs.
