If I have to I will support the club if we have to move to Moor Lane although I have some points that I feel should be made clear before any move takes place. (1)How much rent will we be paying for Moor Lane?Does the playing area meet the Superleague minimum standard for size etc? (2)Where will we train and how much will it cost? Will we have a gym on site etc? (3)Where will the back office staff, training staff, management and ancillary staff operate from and how much will if cost? (4)What will happen with the hospitality on match days? Will there be any. (5)Car parking, it sounds as if there isn’t any, is this correct and what will be done to encourage people to attend on a regular basis? (6)Seating, just how many seats will Moor Lane have? Will it meet up to Superleague standards?I know it’s a silly question but don’t laugh and mention Castleford or Wakefield but it does need answering and have the relevant enquiries been made?

Been a couple of times to Moor Lane and the facilities developed by the tenants are not bad; nice bar, some good seats and parking, used to always walk a mile or so the the Willows anyway and the constant drone about parking at the AJ is there for all to see.
No gym, and aren’t footy pitches as big as SL pitches. The surface isn’t in the same league as the AJ, is more like a Cas or Wakey
Rent,,,,,I’m sure there’s a deal as we’re in the driving seat.
But we must get a 10 year plan to get out of there, stay in SL, be positive, stop bemoaning our state and get on with developing this famous Community Club to something special.

If I have to I will support the club if we have to move to Moor Lane although I have some points that I feel should be made clear before any move takes place. (1)How much rent will we be paying for Moor Lane? No idea, however, I assume part of the agreement of us leaving the AJ Bell will mean a lot lower annual cost which maybe the council will partly subsidise if required? Moor Lane upkeep must be considerably lower than the AJ Bell. Does the playing area meet the Superleague minimum standard for size etc? Pretty sure the playing surface does as I checked the SL website. I think the potential issue might be the run off areas around the pitch as it's pretty enclosed. (2)Where will we train and how much will it cost? Will we have a gym on site etc? Salford Sports Village is probably 500 yards from the ground. I would assume it has pretty much everything needed (including 4G pitch which probably rarely gets used during the day). No training facilities on site AFAIK. (3)Where will the back office staff, training staff, management and ancillary staff operate from and how much will if cost? Moor Lane has plenty of office space for our limited staff. Can't see that being an issue. There is office space on Moor Lane side of ground (North Stand) and the ticket office etc is behind the South Stand. (4)What will happen with the hospitality on match days? Will there be any. How much do we make from corporate anyway? There are corporate facilities at Moor Lane but the view is a lot worse than the AJ Bell as it's nearer to pitch level. They'd have to alter packages accordingly but I doubt corporate keeps us going at the minute. I imagine having control over match day catering would be more beneficial to the club, which we would have at Moor Lane. (5)Car parking, it sounds as if there isn’t any, is this correct and what will be done to encourage people to attend on a regular basis? There isn't any parking apart from on street (and a few mins walk from the ground). The parking within the ground would be used for players and staff only. (6)Seating, just how many seats will Moor Lane have? Will it meet up to Superleague standards?I know it’s a silly question but don’t laugh and mention Castleford or Wakefield but it does need answering and have the relevant enquiries been made? SL requirement is 2000 (from the 2016 requirements you can find online. Moor Lane has 2240. (Answer to Q6) Here's a ground guide I found online which may be helpful.... Salford City don't train there,Away coaches park on the road 90% parking is on the street.when the ground was done up behind the home standing area behind the goal they brought in what looked like to me containers Fitted out as outlets for food and merchandise shirts etc. In the original plans there was supposed to be a bar area and office space running all the way the side of the ground that didn't get done.Along the other side there is 10 corporate boxes. One thing they didn't do was level up the playing surface,it was to expensive even for them, from one touch line to the other it slopes about a foot. Salford City had a fans forum last week where the move was mapped out, someone at the meeting why it could not be us and them, the answer was Sale had a 25 year lease to play there and were prepared to go it alone. So I suppose Salford City were bounced into moving. So what was said was the ground had over 24 million to build, was being sold for either 14 or15 million and Sale were prepared to go alone. It also says on their forum Someone from our club spoke to explain our position.

Be good for Salford FC to take a short term deal, let Sale own it and then let the two Salford clubs and maybe Swinton work at a new Community owned stadium, with full training facilities, offices etc and include other Salford sports athletics, basketball, tennis etc for the community aka Red Star Belgrade. Barcelona. Then Sale, who don’t appear to want anything to do with the City can get on with it and keep the AJ with all its problems
Why not, adventurous, forward thinking , revolutionary but we are a city and that’s what City’s do. But of course it would need a plan and it would need people with b***s to take it on. Look what other city’s through the world do.
Ps Sale we’re allegedly talking about a new stadium in Sale, probably just a devious tale, but I wonder what the 25 year lease would have done then? We’ve all been conned..

Now this is just my opinion. I think Salford City would sooner have us.I also think they would have stayed at Moor Lane for this season, but when Sale said they would go it alone that changed the mind set. I think it is now just putting it in place, and it will probably be next season Salford City's average was just over 3 thousand. They could possibly loose some who will not go to Barton They will want to grow the crowd but will they we will see, I believe Sale average 7,500 I pay £20 for my seat at Barton the Sale fan pays £40 for the same seat, but like you was it for the community.

I agree Dixon, but we have to get all the parties round the table to sort it and somebody with ambition to drive it. There’s more than enough talent in Salford to do this.
Other cities have major schemes, but we just wander along moaning that we’ve been dealt a poor hand. We’re a City of about 225,000. Surely it can be done. But we dont seem to have any drivers with ambition, we’d rather sit just survive and tell the world how bad things are.
It’s amazing that places like Wigan seem to get their act together with rugby and footie sides, even a borough like Leigh have a community stadium, St Helens have a new RL stadium and we…..
Just think, if it was properly organised the benefits to the community in terms of sports, health, jobs, education and training, reduction in crime, etc but we’d rather just watch other places develop. We were a city before Manchester and even they’ve helped FC United as well as many other schemes develop because they have ambition and people in clubs with drive. And one of our City benefactors gave about £6M to Gorton to help young people. Amazing.

JJR I have just been to watch Swinton, they could have won at the last missed the conversion,it finished 22 a piece. The thought process, the teams Swinton and Oldham have had in the past great sides. The game its self one or two stood out but 100% effort in front of about 1800 passionate fans £17 concession to get in £4 20 for a pint of Guinness good afternoon had by all, would I watch Salford at this level,I have before and if needs be will again. But I hope I don't have to.

"We were a city before Manchester" we were a TOWN before Manchester. Sorry.
"and we….." Have/ had the A J Bell.
Much of your post I agree with but we have had historical decisions which were unlucky coupled with the looming presence of United and City. I'd bet more watch them on a weekend in pubs than we get watching us live in a season.

Agree footie is part of the issue But we seem to be drifting into obscurity with no leadership. At least John Wilkie and Marwan had vision and tried to take us forward. They had b***s. Salford Sports Club appeals to me, a lot of which is about doing integrated sport and involvement increases spectators, from schools onwards.
The way we’re going seems we’re drifting into the Championship, unless there is a Community. Is ion somewhere. Which saddens me.

We are leaving one landlord because we cannot pay the rent, but we are going to be paying rent to a new landlord the owners of Salford City. Also someone pays for naming rights for the stadium also people have the food outlets and the bar so they will have to work out how it will all work in the future.the council owns the land, but Gary Neville and Co owns the fixtures and fittings, we will not be going for nothing. Swinton have signed another lease with Sale RFC for Heywood Road, they are doing work in that community and that side of Manchester, their was Sale supporters there today, they are Swinton in name only in fact the support was shouting come on the Lions not Swinton. I don't think they will ever return to the Swinton area,I found out today they have an office at the AJ Bell that's where they train

Quick heads up that there is a Gary Neville fans forum tomorrow night at Moor Lane, for Salford City ST holders about the AJ Bell move.
I'll be there, so I'll make a few notes and report back here with the latest.
