Once again we shot ourselves in the foot,Hurrell might have deserved a hit but Mossop should have refrained from giving him one, then he should have gone down when Hurrell touched him we cannot afford to keep losing players for red cards and sin bins we are making teams look better than they are. Gale should have got sent off, once again poor refereeing and what are the other officials doing, so much inconsistency it’s alarming, then the other tackle off the ball, Lannon got a red weeks ago for basically pushing someone in the back that one today just a penalty.

The 2 points at Huddersfield could be crucial at the end of the season. At least Moose followed the old adage,if you are hitting someone make sure they stay hit. Surely it is ‘if you are being hit, hit him harder’?

Leeds controlled the game from minute one and we weren't smart enough. I agree referee Hicks missed some forward passes and favoured Leeds with some inconsistent decisions but our discipline was poor again and our edge defence was extremely weak. We simply can't afford to keep losing players to suspension when you consider just how extensive the injury list is. Marshall has to get a grip on this discipline problem because it's becoming a joke.

Is Marshall really responsible for his captain hitting out when he was then certain to be sent off for punching ?

No. But he is responsible for improving discipline and man management to get players to perform to higher standards. To make them better players and make better decisions. That's literally his whole job... ...and it's clearly not working.

A big issue in RL is the touch judges. Something was going on in the Hurrel/ Mossop tackle; touch judge is there to spot for the ref and should have waved his flag, so the incident develops No forward passes given in a game, touch judges role Two players hitting Lannon, touch judge saw and should have notified ref
The ref can only do so much but the other 2 pair of eyes add nothing generally in every match. Theyre not there to merely signal touch; are they now Assistant Referees? If they are then assist, if not then they should be.

Its not just down to discipline though is it....yes it has a major factor....two games now and we were lucky to get away with it at Hudds. Cant do that though against Leeds and expect to get away with it. Yes Hurrell ran after Mossop, but as a Captain and knowing how desperate we are, he should of restrained from giving him a punch. Its called `anger management` and the fact that Hurrell made a meal of it just made it look even worse. We cannot expect to win games with our best players sat in the stands. We are in a desperate position now as I really cannot see where another win is coming from. We have to go to Leigh and they will certainly be fired up for it and from highlights there attack and desire is far above ours. We have no clue near to the opposition line. Patton is nowhere near SL standard and to be honest I thought Escare tried his best and had a decent game. The only ones for me who came out of that with any credit was Escare & Williams. The rest are just bog standard Championship material and unfortunately that`s where we are heading.

The problem is most referees don't want the touch judges to highlight they have missed something. They are generally told to just check for a player in touch or wave their flags up and down after a kick at goal. Referees are a certain breed who thrive on authority and control and they hate that being undermined.

Mossop,as a very experienced player and captain, knows that if you throw a punch, you generally walk. He’s the more responsible for his own conduct.

Talk of Hicks apologising to him all game as well. The game is biased towards the top sides and lots of fans like myself are sick of it. The RFL would be happy with a 4 team league and sod the rest.

I will say again for the Thousandth time - We cannot afford to sack RM - What is your alternative Carnstar as you continue to lambast the lad?
Today we had 7 Internationals unavailable (Inu, Pauli, Seb, Brown, Sio, Sarge, Kallum). When Paul King and Bleasey made RM`s appointment they were not. We have to see the season out with what we have got or make some clever loan exchanges (Tui anyone?) and then reassess and find replacements.

Groundhog Day. I knew as soon as sacking him was mentioned we’d go back into a loop. The point being made is who was responsible for the sending off ?

Let's face it we've got to try and grind out the season and survive. Why sack RM when we're going nowhere this season. And the players have to take responsibility If you look back over the years Leeds Wigan etc have all had horrendous seasons, mainly due to injuries. Now we've got one.
We've got to try and get a balanced spine and then work round it this year. Huddersfield aren't doing much better after Watson came in and spent Kens money. Wigan are awful, bug had lucky wins. We have to get some stability and develop from where we are.
At the moment injuries, ill discipline, continual change in the spine are all costing us. But we have to go thro it and when we do we hopefully will be stronger
Or is RM saving his best for the play offs😉

This wasn't the first time Mossop has been sent off this year and Sarginson is another serial offender. Red mist but ultimately it's down to the coach because he selects the team and is responsible for instilling discipline.
