That was everything we've not been, I am disgusted with the cards over the last two games, however that was a performance win or lose. Sarge never stops, Burgess just does good things and the forwards were solid. But for me Patton was class, did not run enough but his kicking is much better than anything else we have, plus the try saving tackle. Seb and Roberts had a point to prove, nothing pretty about that performance other than pride and guts. Well done lads.

I hate to agree with you Maurice but I'm afraid I have to eat humble pie. As one of his biggest critics, Patton was fantastic tonight (as were pretty much the whole team) and saved a couple of certain tries and I didn't think he had it in him.
More of the same please Declan!

Seems like the lads dug deep. Hats off to them. Very satisfying to get one over Watson, although I'm not going to get carried away with it. A narrow win doesn't forgive the dross that went before, but it goes some way into making a start of a recovery.
Let's hope it is a recovery and not just another one off.
Tentatively positive just now...

Massive guts and effort tonight. Not the prettiest but all the heart we’ve been missing in last 2 games. That was tense but what a massive defensive effort. Well done to every player 👏

Quite amazing the Spine; Sarge, Atkin, Patton, Ackers brilliant. I wondered why Sarge in the GB 24 squad, obvious.
Did Ackers play 80?

No tui no problem. Bar that one brain fart from greenwoodargison we were brilliant. Seemed well organised in attack tonight and defended like our lives depended on it. Our energy was phenomenal, Huddersfield couldn't live with it.. They didn't want to know. No doubt sargi gets a 3 year ban,tbf wish we had 13 Dan sargisons.

Honestly I’ve not seen the game yet.
Full marks to the coaching team.
If they take the stick when warranted then they deserve the plaudits when we win.

Was Mossop injured early doors. So 12 men and 3 interchanges? He was injured in the warm up, so Ormondroyd stepped up to the bench and Ika started. |

Still plenty to work on stacking wise. Didn’t really look like scoring very often. We were well on top til the red card but didn’t threaten the line too much. Parton didn’t create anything all game but that’s two games he’s played in the halves - we’ve narrowly won one and narrowly lost the other v wigan so he’s obviously doing something right!
We were making metres for fun in the first half and even towards the end.
The defence was impressive in the first half with Hudds making v few metres
Our kicking game was brilliant for the whole match
We played a perfect game when a man down. Defended like trojans, backs doing work to help the forwards. Kicked long, defended in their half as much as we could and were superb on our line. Very few errors or penalties. Hung on when they got on a rolll for a while in the 2nd half and then grabbed the drop goal chance when it came.
Most importantly after the last 2 games we showed loads of heart. Looked like Marshall had really pared down our systems. Considering we lost Moose in the warm up and then got the red card. What an effort
Andy Ackers was absolutely brilliant. Either did all 80 or at least 65-70. Wells was brilliant too. What a workhorse he is. Taylor and Seb very good. Great to see Sarge back. Played like he did at fb last year. He was immense. Might be missing for next few games though. Hard to tell what happened properly but didn’t look good. Burgess was very good out of position. His kick chases were really good and solid in defence. Ben Davies worked hard. Atkin was our most threatening player again.

Massive win tonight, well done the lads, if we could get our attack as good as the defence was tonight we would be well up the table, great effort all round, the fans were brilliant, never heard the Giants fans except when they scored.
Some of the stewards were a bit ott.
