I'm not sure why the Doc would need alliances. What would they be for? You couldn't see the other chairmens' bums for the dust where the RFL were concerned so what would be the point?  I don't no that do you.If you are right then maybe that's why he is forming alliances is better to have good friends than bad enemies. |

Personally I think it won't matter who he has on his side in the same way it doesn't matter what he says or does, the detractors have made their minds up. If he's looking for allies against the RFL which I doubt he's gained Beaumont but lost Hudgell so no change there then. To be honest I think he's too busy cutting SRD's cloth to suit their situation to be concerned about alliances. |

I am sorry.But that's not the impression I took away from the meeting.You go on about detractors every club as detractors their is detractors of other clubs on this forum.Alec Murphy took Leigh to one of the biggest Wembley upsets he had a couple great players the rest journey men.They had detractors.Murphy said in is autobiography, he used it the world against us lads.The siege mentality, Ferguson used it.We are not good enough to use it we haven't got either Alec or Alex. |

I "go on" about the detractors as you put it because they go on about the Doc with little logic or reasoning behind what they say. We are just disagreeing bit about a very unimportant issue.
I don't agree we're not good enough either we're just less united than the examples you give. Mind you any manager of any RL team with the ability to buy like in football would soon become a legend in our game.
