If Steve Price leaves Warrington would he become the new favourite for our head coach. Would take him in a flash with Rowley/Brown and Flash under him. Not disagreeing but that would be some payroll for coaching.

I am putting my money on Richard Marshall from Saints, highly thought of in the game.

So Bonitared, as you are our closest thing to any information coming out of the internal discussions in the Community Club, who do you think the next coach will be? Will Rowley take it Are we considering an experienced coach from the UK Wane or Mcdermott A semi tried Aussie too many to mention but the accent seems to double the salary An experienced Aussie, Sheens,Wolfordš© An up and coming English coach Ford, Orr, An ex Salford coach Gleeson, Long Just a bit of inside track BR as we are the Communityš As you know,I have no inside track. Your guess is as good as mine. I assume itās Rowley if he wants it and I think heāll go for it. As regards the rest it depends on who applies and I canāt imagine Wane or McDermott will. Dont think weād go for Sheens or Wolford Danny Orr,not a chance.

I just resisted the urge to ask Blease where Watson is of and who's front runner for the job, he was stood behind in the queue waiting to get served at Lidl.

I'd like to see us stick with a similar type of coach: Danny Ward, Jon Ford, Richard Marshall. All have done well at clubs with limited finances and in the case of Ward and Ford, good knowledge of the current crop of players in the championship. It's a good model for our club presently and in the case again of ward and ford, seem to get their teams playing an all.
Aussies don't know our lower leagues and yes might know some good players back home, we only have limited quota spots. We've never had great success with them so why would that change now?
I wouldn't want anyone who hasn't got some experience yet. The likes of brown, gleeson as they need to prove themselves yet. I don't know about littler, he's following the same path walked by Watson but he's not done the yards yet for me.
A lot really is about personality as much as anything. While I've still got a bitter taste from this week, you could tell Watson was a good bloke to be around and can understand why we have the culture we do have.

I believe Shaun Wane is being interviewed and, I never thought Iād say this, but I think he could be the perfect choice. If my source is wrong then fair enough. Even if true It wouldnāt surprise me if we couldnāt afford him or if he wanted to wait for a ābiggerā club.
The reason I think he might be perfect is because he has a massive work rate and attention to detail. Just like Watto had. We need someone who is prepared to do everything. We will still have a very small back room team so we need a head coach who is happy to be in the detail of everything.
Mostly at the top of pro sportās clubs you have assistants, performance analysts, etc and the head coachās job is to get them all working together. At Salford youāve got to be doing part of their job cos there arenāt many of them. I can see Wane loving getting involved in every detail.
My only worry would be whether he will get the best out of the type of players salford can afford. Watto was a master at getting apparently average players to up their game. Wane is better at lifting those who are already at yet top of the game. (Plus Iām not keen on his negative playing style). But if we got him, it would be a massive coup

Blease said we need someone to take us further and I believe hes the only available one that can do it.

Shaun Wane would be probably at the top of the list really. It's not just the man management it's the culture he creates. Like him or not he creates an intense, no nonsense environment where the players respect him. I've spoke to a player who played under him and the way he leads his men is like no other currently.

Suppose as Wane would have 2 jobs he wouldn't cost as much so could have afford Rowley and presumably an attack coach with him Yes that would sound good. And he would know where the talent is.

Of all the āestablishedā coaches Wane is the only one Iād want. He would be a massive coup. I canāt see it happening, I still think heād be expensive, but itās not unthinkable. Interesting times

If he wants a full time gig then there are only a very limited number of clubs. I donāt think Wire would have him which makes us the only club in Lancashire. Hull would be a possibility. Heād have Sarge,Moose,Burgess,EscarĆ© that he knows well. I didnāt have him as a possibility, but the money wonāt be an issue unless thereās another show in town
