There are quite a few ex-NRL coaches available, likes of Dean Pay, Shane Flanagan, Paul Green, Anthony Seibold and Neil Henry. Also a few assistants who could step up to head coach in Craig Fitzgibbon, Stephen Kearney, Terry Matterson and Jason Demetriou. Shane Flanagan & Paul Green would do for me.
Though with Flanagan I'd be watching what supplements he's giving the players.
Didn't spot Jason Demetriou, you get the feeling with him he's destined for greatness, so many people rate him in the NRL it seems to be inevitable he make a brilliant 1st team coach.

Did just read that Demetriou has been named by Wayne Bennett already as his heir at South Sydney. Another name to throw in is Michael Maguire, in charge of NZ now but maybe could be tempted back to club rugby. Famed as starting off Wigans resurgence before Wane took over.

There are only about 30 gigs as coach to a full time rugby league team. In the UK the majority of coaches, not all, struggle to find a new team after they’ve been fired. It’s a big deal so I don’t think we’ll be short of high quality applications. Won’t need to go looking

He's head coach of Wests Tigers.

Noticed and mis-read his profile page. My mistake. Still take a punt and hope the Papa Johns sponsorship deal could turn his head!!!

Not that it means anything, but someone has added Brian McDermott as coach to our Wikipedia page. Or "Brain" as they've spelt it.

Would prefer we employ from within - like Liverpool used to do. Creates a happier environment.

If he wants it give Rowley the job, look at maybe bringing Littler over as assistant and getting Brown involved.
That way we have a clear path for people who know the club towards becoming head coach 1 day.

A Few Media Reports (Half Pissed middle aged men ) have put Tim Sheen's name in the Hat( The thing you put on your Head) But I believe he's headed to back to Oz to Start his Retirement (When you end your working Career) (Australia the country in the South of the World not to be mistaken with Austria).

So Bonitared, as you are our closest thing to any information coming out of the internal discussions in the Community Club, who do you think the next coach will be?
Will Rowley take it Are we considering an experienced coach from the UK Wane or Mcdermott A semi tried Aussie too many to mention but the accent seems to double the salary An experienced Aussie, Sheens,Wolford😩 An up and coming English coach Ford, Orr, An ex Salford coach Gleeson, Long
Just a bit of inside track BR as we are the Community😉

A couple of things for me,
1. Reading what Mr Blease said about about Paul Rowley, i dont think he want s the job as head coach and the pressure that goes with it.
2. If we take a coach that is already in a job, it is going to cost us, I know we got money for Watto etc, but i would rather spend the money on players than give it to another club.
As for a new coach most of those that have been mentioned by the press i would not even offer the job to.
For me a phone call to the Walker brothers over in Aus would not go a miss. i know they want to step up into the NRL, they were looked at for the Warriors job, but did not get it. now with all jobs for coaches gone in Aus poss for the next 3 seasons, i would think they would be looking for a job. A phone call would not a miss at least. thats my thought on it.

Rowley seems the obvious choice, if he wants it. There's no denying the positive influence he had when he came in last year but my only concern would be that he had a big financial backer at Leigh and at Toronto so could he do it on the budget available to him at Salford ? So Rowley as Head coach, KB as assistant and recruit a 7 or go with Atkin for the season?

Bet too that they'll know some right gems from the lower league's over there.

If Steve Price leaves Warrington would he become the new favourite for our head coach. Would take him in a flash with Rowley/Brown and Flash under him.
