Even if he takes Tui and another couple ,it won’t destroy the club obviously but it’ll completely fook up his reputation and goodwill towards him. Business is business, and everybody needs to make their own judgments. SAD is completely the right word

There are ways of behaving and doing business BR and as he is a Salfordian I thought he might be above this. It possibly shows how, self centred, weak and insecure he is. Perhaps as you said not destroying but team but putting a lot of the future in jeopardy. I was looking forward to next season; hope I see him about. Yet another egotist with few principles.Napoleon syndrome?
Or has something happened within the Club to make him behave like this?

Heard he's been trying for a few. Tui under contract anyway. The Club doesn't have to sell. Agree with you BR, gone are the days of gentlemen, in are the days of self centredness, greed and me me me. Thought Watson might be above trying to poach players and potentially destroying the Club but as we see it's all about him. V sad. His he the Pied Piper of Huddersfield, who is to say these players will want to go.

Personally feel that only Mossop, Yates, Sarginson, Watkins, Brown and Sio are currently irreplaceable for us. Tui has the magic touch but can be very hot and cold. Can see Watson trying for McCarthy, Inu and Burke as off contract and all 7/10 at least every week.

Given choice of Burke and McCarthy would keep Tyke all day. Real leader on the pitch and always gives his all. Burke steady but unremarkable.

He was everyone's hero a few weeks back. Now, many on here despise him for simply changing his career path. What the hell is up with you people ? Get e feckin life

Nobody despises him one bit. Everyone wants to remember him as a hero who revitalised the club and took us to two finals. The point that’s being made is,simply, that if he does indeed raid Salford for his new club, then that would tarnish his legacy. It would just feel sad as we don’t want him to be remembered for that

Agree BR and on top of that each year we lose lots of players. This year in addition to those leaving we have a number retiring, leaving the Club in yet again a precarious position...remember the start of this last season.
And now with the Club unstable with no coach, we have him trying to raid our better players, those probably negotiating contracts and those we're wanting to bring in, the easy route as he'll know their contract details. I'd have thought if he had any value for the Club and wanted it to be sustainable he'd have had the decency to let us retain what little we have cf other clubs. Could call it business or I'm sure there are lots of other angles.
All a matter of values JJF, in my view
