So if Warrington win on Friday they get 4 points for a nights work after a rest for 3 weeks. Yes that sounds fair. Should be interesting Monday, could be a MR 9s game as we're knackered and they have CV Surely they need to change that. No problem with us forfeiting the game for nil points. No club should be able to gain twice from a cancelled fixture. Natural justice and all that. Trouble is it takes logic....... no I won’t t go that route again #@therfl

I think as alluded to earlier in the thread, this is entirely SL's making - not the RFL. We should lob in the Catalans game as well whilst we are at it. Paul King on twitter corrected someone on this saying that it was nothing to do with SL and all to do with the RFL. Not seen paul’s tweet so I’m not sure what he’s said about this but the clubs and super league voted to restart the season and at least agreed to the back loading of fixtures. The RFL were involved but the impression at the time was that it was SL’s call

Doesn’t really matter unless you have a strong view on which is the most unrealistic

So warrington can get 4 points this weekend if they beat huddersfield? That’s the only thing that’s annoying me - not the 4 points but why they didn’t just switch the fixture. I think SL & the we RFL have done their best in really hard circumstances. The clubs and, particularly, all the players have done everything they can - lots of clubs having games every few days, clubs agreeing to changes at last minute, not being able to train etc and just getting on with it We’ve ended up getting stung but at the end of the day that’s the gamble. But they (SL/RFL) could have just switched the fixture so Warrington played Huddersfield without our game being forfeit. I think the forfeit rule is quite right in normal times but we are far from normal times. I’d be very surprised if anything came of the referral to the whatever it’s called committee but I don’t think anyone would really have complained if Fridays fixture had just been switched in the circumstances

Looking at our fixtures for October and scheduled for November is an absolute joke
October 3rd, 8th, 13th, 17th, 23rd, 26th, 30th (7 games in 27 days) November 2nd, 6th, 8th, 12th (4 games in 10 days)
Total 11 games in 40 days with one of the smallest squads in Super League.
It's amazing we've managed to fulfil our fixtures so far. Super League and the RFL have a duty of care to the players and any punishment would show then up for what they are.

They yous the term product in relation to sport now. With games every 5 minutes the product is suffering.

That fixture list would be ludicrous for a full squad of players, whoever is responsible for this should be ashamed of themselves, whether it’s Superleague,RFL,Sky Sports, or the clubs. To insist on the clubs having Player Welfare Officers and come up with this format is contrary to any form of player welfare

We have no case to answer, this year’s rules stated that a club must have completed a minimum of 15 games to qualify for the league ladder and eventual play offs for the grand final. We have played 15.

We then went on a cup run and were simultaneously used as a filler team when others had covid issues. We have been incredibly cooperative so yes the forfeit hurts but alas thems the rules .

Yes, he has since said this. Yet he also said this... To be fair, it is a joint thing. SL sorts fixtures, RFL enforces rules. Not sure if people are getting wires crossed, myself included. Anyway, it's done and that's it I suppose.

Can't quite follow the gist of that thread.
It's obvious we can't keep throwing 17 out day after day with such a small squad.
