He’d be cheap and you could get him on a short contract to prove himself- if it didn’t work out, no harm done. That is especially true if he was signed for the rest of this season and there is no relegation. It’s not like it would be a big money risk.

We need a new one next year - seems like the ideal time to try out a replacement now if we get the opportunity? He can play elsewhere as well.

It would be another astute signing for me that although would prefer Tony Gigot. A few years back he and Hardaker were competing for the top sl full back spot so Watson is definitely the person to get him back there. He's definitely in the Evalds mold as well with him imo having a better passing game.

Gigot & Escare for mine would be a game changer and give plenty of game plan, substitute and competition for places.

Can't see anything about him leaving Wigan never mind signing for us.

If it's true its win win for Salford, potentially get a more than capable replacement for Evalds or we give him the once over and think there will be a better option.

I do think that Cas will approach about Evalds heading over early, for me it might be a good solution as think there's bound to be some bellendery slung his way from the terraces.

A few well connected Twitter accounts but nothing solid yet and nothing from the major journos (meaning it hasn’t been confirmed by anyone yet). One chap who has done some rugby league media work thinks Evalds might be off early to Cas as well - again just a rumour though.
