Some of the highlights I've seen from the NRL seem to show the game has morphed.
Real Harlem Globetrotters stuff, looks like 9's style has become the norm in the 13 game game.
Do hope that isn't going to be the pathway for the future, like the odd slug fest and war of attrition as much as the razzle dazzle.
You have to remember that the metamorphing of NRL took years and you only have to see old matches to realise how stark that is.
Now they've had a change made over a small amount of time and it's huge and they didn't know how it would affect the game.
All the reliables of defence and the wrestle went out the window overnight so it hasn't had time to evolve but it will.
As it is though, it is much more likely to attract new people to the game than any war of attrition for the afficionados.

Interesting to watch the reaction to SBW going back to the NRL.
Very few mentions of his age and lots and lots about his effect on a team. I wonder where that was at the Wolfpack?
They have now stopped looking at SL as a worrying aspect though, it's a sea change!

The SBW effect on Toronto was different, know for a 100% certainty his signing caused splits in the squad, some loved the idea of playing with him, others weren't happy the telephone number salary he was on.

The NRL does a much better job of promoting the sport. Super League did improve this season but there is a long way to go.

Moaning, groaning and being negative is like a disease in this country and RL is by far the prime example of that at work.
Storm looked like they're unbeatable today.
Ryan Hall not playing and still wasting his time there. I've watched the games he was there to see if it was simply he's not good enough. Roosters play very one sided to some degree and whenever it did edge towards him Aubusson wouldn't make the pass. He was injured today so it should be intriguing to see if that makes any difference. But he could be playing center in yoonion if he wanted loads'a'money to be be little more that a battering ram.

I get the impression that Sky are just not that interested or they just spend as little as possible/put the most inexperienced staff on Super League. For example we had to put up with that try/no try roulette wheel for a whole season - embarrassingly bad. They also still haven’t masted replays- time and again they cut over good action with a pointless replay. The NRL has it right with replays in a cut screen in the corner - not that hard surely? I think Sky tend to cut corners everywhere though - Sky Go is abysmal compared to other streaming apps.

Hall has been found out, for me all he ever did was fall over the line.
The callers (commentators) in Australia are different class, think Ray Warren would make my top 5 celebrity dinner party guests, when you consider he learnt his trade by commentating on marbles rolling across his kitchen floor he's the best by a country mile, Vossy too and doesn't he like to mention the old country and his favourite eateries.
The thing is in Australia they have a constant conveyor belt of talent, here we get the odd 1 (Luke Thompson the last for me and he doesn't look interested), they could field a totally different Australia 17 every couple of seasons and still put a cricket score on us.

It seems as if we disagree about lots MR, RH is a good winger and I don't believe anyone could fall over the line several hundred times.
Vossy for mine.
The sum total of talent is matched only by their huge arrogance and condescension.

They do deserve credit for some things but their presentation of our sport has at times been really poor. No point beating around the bush just because they’ve given our sport loads of money.

I think Ryan Hall has gone over five years too late. He's not half the player he was, playing in a competition twice as demanding.
