When you think the old guard are retiring and might allow the UK to catch up Damian Cook and Katlyn Ponga come on the scene and we're screwed for another generation.
Love watch Josh Addo Carr, greased lightning wouldn't stand a chance catching him.

Eels looked good today against a Tigers side that ain't half bad.
That Storm hooker playing for Wests looks a cert for origin or the Roos sometime soon.

Sea Eagles were business like again today though I do think DCE is a piece of work.
That Cowboy's fullback is a beautiful player to watch.

Williams seems to be playing well, but he does have a great half back partner who leads takes the pressure off him and gives him space And good to see the video cock up try. I kept looking at it in slo mo and thought my eyes were deceiving me. But it was good to see the players didn't rant as they do in the Premier league.

He is playing well and I think a lot of the success of English players is due to the team mates they have and come to rely on without realising it, and it may explain why they seem pood for England.
I love NRL commentators especially Vossy but if I hear that rubbish stock phrase "You make your own luck!" for a dominant side getting decisions, the rub of the green and 90% of the 50/50's once more I think I'll become homicidal.

It's ok the Drone-On brothers , McDermott and O'Connor, talk a lot and say nothing will be back soon. I watch it with the sound off when they're on. Dire.

The Aussies love whinging.
The new rules look to have made them more scary if anything, and certainly made their game more interesting and exciting.

If successful, you keep it, if not you lose it for the game. Has already really helped avoid game changing decisions at crucial points. Really cuts down on the contentious calls that often plague the game both north and south of the planet.

The Captains challenge will only work if all games are televised for the duration, if not it's impossible to review things.

The captains challenge is getting better as the players get used to it. I don’t think I saw one won in the first 20 or so I watched. But they are choosing their moments better. The best refs in the world will still make mistakes so it gives a chance to correct it. Doesn’t take long so doesn’t slow the game down. You lose it if you’re wrong. I think it’s good. Ideally I think everyone should just accept that refs get things wrong sometimes like they accept players make mistakes. But I think we’ve lost that so this feels like a decent alternative
Inevitably though there will still be 50:50 calls that won’t go the captains way. Fans will still see those as 70:30 in their favour so will still be upset at “corrupt” decisions

The Captain's Challenge is improving in that they're making better judgement calls about when to put one in.
I also think it may get a few moaning about the stoppage.
And I'm waiting to see it simply used as a strategy.

I'd guess within a very short time the RFL will release an edict as someone will find a way of misusing the CC option.
A team will make a break in a close game right at the death and leave the defence short handed, CC over a supposed spurious knock at the PTB would give the defence time to get back and set up in defence.
It will happen though.

If you think they’re been a knock on but the ref doesn’t give it and plays on I don’t think there’s anything you can do. As I say, I might be wrong but I think that’s the case

Some of the highlights I've seen from the NRL seem to show the game has morphed.
Real Harlem Globetrotters stuff, looks like 9's style has become the norm in the 13 game game.
Do hope that isn't going to be the pathway for the future, like the odd slug fest and war of attrition as much as the razzle dazzle.
