No I don't have to watch NRL, I prefer to do so because it is a much more appealing product when compared to SL.
The only thing that I would change in the NRL is to stop the crazy nonsense of throwing a punch is an automatic card, many of us have played rugby and know that if someone attacks you you know you should be allowed to defend yourself.

As I said earlier I’ve started watching NRL for the first time. Yesterday ,at various points in the day,I watched the Raiders game and, later,Salford Toronto on RDTV. Like chalk and cheese. Not better or worse, just different games. You can see why so many of our top players can’t cut it over there but hats off to those who do. Josh Hodgson now captains Canberra and Williams playing well yet Ryan Hall and Joe Burgess couldn’t cut it. Their wingers are monsters. I think Gildart will go well if and when he moves.

Bonita you hit the nail on the head "Not better or worse, just different games." The trouble is International games favour the Aussie style, like they need any help. And no matter how quickly Brits show how good they are over there there'll never be an admission that SL is good in any way.
There will be plenty of players who could make it in the NRL but if they continue to do so SL will become a sideshow at best.
The six again rule has done some good there and opened the game up which it needed badly before it became only enjoyable for coaches and too technical to be interesting.
I think now would be a good time for rule changes here to bring the ganes closer together.

Correct. There was a comment in the Canberra game along the lines of whether a Superleague half back could ever make it in the the NRL,which pissed me off.

Warriors looking very good.
I think it's more like the Dragons are totally clueless, McGregor is just driving his own team in to the ground with bad team choices and crap tactics. In a practice game earlier in the week the Dragons reserve team beat the 1st grade team by three clear tries. Admittedly, Jack De Belin was playing in the reserve team and was ripping a new anus through the 1st team for much of the game (not much of a rape pun intended ) .

Think that if he made the switch Makinson would be a hit over there and I did think the same of the young British winger at Wakefield a couple of years ago but his injury seems to have knocked backwards.
I'm always shocked that when a player from SL gets approached to test himself against the best in the world week in week out they reject it, Roby would have been a wow, Peacock and maybe Fielden in their day would have made it, it's good to see Thompson giving it a go, you don't know until you try.

You will be pushed to be your best week in and week out in the NRL, but to be honest it needs to get over itself.
There is very little that they don't have going for them and that is never talked about by their pundits.
The level of condescension beggars belief and the success of all the Raiders British players alone should've changed this but it has done little to alter it.
Having said all that I'm glad it's back.

Roosters look immense at the start of the second week back.
Ryan Hall a late inclusion but for all money doesn't look like he'll get much service.

Melbourne very hard to beat.
Warriors turn up with a completely opposite performance, they could be SRD.

I told you, the Dragons are so poor at the moment they will make anyone look good. I didn't think they could get any worse than last season but McGregor has proven me wrong lol

I’ve watched every game so far in addition to a few old Salford and Super League games - as entertaining as it has been I’m going to have to take tomorrow off and get out for some fresh air!

I'm still hoping SRD have Fans in the Stands to get some income into the club, I've just had a pathetic tax rebate which would cover a photo of me on the terraces.

Warriors were pretty abject and deserved to lose I think he might be right about the rule change though. Combined with some teams not looking match fit, it does feel like there have been more one sided games than usual for the NRL
