Just came on to say Bye everyone. Thanks for one of the few places for good threads and conversations I've found. All the best Russ,

Watching the drivel on the pitch, I think I'll join you.

First half has been abject dross from the start.
We look every bit a Championship side. Same group were top half of SL for most of the season. Just goes to show how being constantly kicked in the nuts by the RFL and your owner can effect how a group of players perform every week. Now that a few rats are leaving the sinking ship it's even harder for those that remain to keep focused and positive.
Including the fans.

That was the absolute pits, I can't disagree. While we still have an glimmer of hope at retaining our SL status we need to keep behind the team irrespective of how bad we performed today.

Players don't care, how many times today multiple players weren't back in the attacking line 3 tackles in, embarrassing. They just don't care.

I just cannot fathom how bad that performance was. Credit to London as they took their chances and kept us at bay when we threatened, but a team with our quality should be winning these games comfortably.
Our chance of finishing 5th is now in jeopardy and I am fearing the worst. It's hard to keep your chin up after watching that shower, but needs must. Onwards and upwards to Batley with fingers and toes crossed.

I'll quote myself from a thread I started awhile back, but not many agreed with. I think the gist of it is more relevant then ever...

For all my grumbling about missing games because of late date changes today was the first time I might have been able to reschedule what I had planned but honestly felt like I couldn't be bothered. I hate to admit it but I think after 45yrs the love affair is over, no more excuses, no more BS as the team I love has lost me.
Can't contemplate renewing my season ticket, can't contemplate giving any more of my hard earned (I have worked hard for what I have where as the majority of the Salford team have stolen a living today) and certainly can't contemplate forgiving the most professional showing of incompetence I have seen.
I said it earlier Salford you have broken my heart, when you have loved something as passionately as I have with Salford and they drive you away it is hard, but ex's are ex's for a reason and an ex Salford will remain.

Looked like a team that had either been picked up by other clubs, or booked there tickets back to Australasia. We've been there before, the question is will we be able to bounce back again, or is this game set and match. Knowing the RFL we will probably amalgamate with Sheffield to become the Moscow Putins, How's that for Brexit
Hope Mr Woods is Choking on his pererstroika.

Why waste bullets, there's a perfectly good body of water at the back of the ground.

I have it on good authority that Greg Johnson and Josh Griffin were on their holiday, sniffing coke like it was going out of fashion last month. Now if that's the case and they've put up a performance like that, they need shooting. Said since we signed him Johnson shouldn't have been given a Salford shirt, he got convicted of bottling a woman, should have been banned from the game for life.

Look let's not kid ourselves, we've given up from the top downwards and it's easy to see that today. But when we get relegated do we all say fcuk it I don't want a salford RL team anymore? Do we give up? Do we let this proud club go? God I hope not. We deserve better than this fella's.

Speaking for myself it's easy, just not going to keep giving my devotion and loyalty to a team and people who don't appreciate it.
This season got the most impolite and rude email from the club when I said how upset I was at the late chance to the Wigan away game and then got blocked by the Doc when after a very long wet Friday night wait at the bus stop after a game I sent a Tweet asking if anyone at the club had approached First Bus about dedicated buses.
No it honestly feel to me right now my patronage is not valued or that we as fans are not appreciated by the players, I know if I was lucky enough to have made the top grade at Salford the fans would have been my motivation to perform to the best of my abilities and not to just turn up to fleece the club.

Ok,where to start ? I'll be at Batley supporting the club and hoping for a way out of this mess. It's a perfect storm, all going fine until the points deduction. I don't know Koukash but ,on the basis of what I've seen and heard, he's difficult to like. When he arrived my expectations were low and I didn't expect him to hang around. I actually think he's given it a good shot and given us 3 bonus years. He's entitled to move on because Salford has never had much dormant support waiting to attend games and he now knows that. The players have done pretty well this season but gone awol at the wrong time. Watson has done a good job this season but failed to keep his nerve at the critical time. The axis of Dobson,Lui,Tomkins and O'Brien needs to be in place. Today we had GOB at stand off and Tomkins spelled for too long. They've been the springboard for our attacks. The late signings disrupted the scheme. There's obviously something wrong with Vidot so I wish him well but Evalds and Johnson on the wings wasn't in the plan. We have 2 games to preserve our SL status and we can do it but we need to go back to basics. Midfield and full back to revert to the original plan. I'd drop Josh Griffin because he's too error prone. I'd recall Vidot and keep my fingers crossed that he has a big game in him. Finally, this is not the time to leave the sinking ship. Sure, have a post mortem later but ,as I said,we still have a chance so we should support the club and try to give them the biggest boost that we can
