Saints would still have won but it could and should have been a much closer competition than it was. I have typically felt that criticising referees is a pointless thing to do (and it still is) but I can’t remember ever being angrier at a game than on Saturday (apologies to anyone that may have been within earshot!). A referee who was totally out of his depth spoilt what had the potential to be one of the great Rugby League Finals. On a night with record viewing figures as well.

Much closer but still a loss😀 Never understand that train of thought. There were some odd things done by the ref but non would have influenced the result. As I have said let it go and look forward to next season |
