Report on Twitter (so obviously bullet proof) that Ged Mason the Salford born owner of Morson has put in a bid, now that would do for me.

Another international recruitment firm ? At least, with Morson, their accounts are there for all to see. Yes,either him or Mr Orange would do a treat

Even a suggestion in one of the League papers would be a help here but Twitter and rumour! Have either of these even hinted they're interested at any time, anywhere or have we all moved to Shed-vision for the foreseeable?

There was also mention of the name Neil McArthur also, another local businessman made good.
For me the option of the Mason/Orange consortium making a play makes perfect sense, have long said that shared back office staff for Sale and Salford would be the ideal, then you have the medical staff who can be shared, training facilities and even an exchange of ideas between Sale and Salford. Rather than duplicating people investment could theoretically be made getting the primo people for the positions. Have always wondered about the possibility of marketing both teams to the same people, you can then offer prospective sponsors year round exposure rather than seasonal.

Don't you find yourself getting cynical and doubtful when you hear people from ru might be interested in taking over an RL club?

Not a business man with a potential interest in owning the professional sporting teams that use the AJ Bell and if reports are to be believed the stadium itself. I doubt that last bit will ever happen but as far as both teams being owned by the same consortium I have no reservations about it, if you look at some of the football teams in the UK they are owned by the same people who own NFL/NHL teams in the US.
I fail to see why anyone would buy Salford and look to asset strip it, for starters pretty sure if someone bought the club from the Doc they would be buying the debt he took on and let's be honest while we have a good squad it's not packed with SBW, Radradra, Hayne or a couple of Trbojevic brothers.

What possible motivation or reason would they have for taking over SRD. When you say there are owners of clubs in different sports they are not competing in the same player and supporter market as RL and ru.The conflict of interest is massive. But also the state the club's in, and yet another RFL punishment looming as well as the possibility of relegation. Well the queue must be miles long! And we'll probably be in trouble with the RFL once again when the fight breaks out between the competing groups vying for ownership!

I think the motivation is doing things right, for all the bluster and investment from Koucash he has still not grasped that you need to engage with the community at large and promote the games seriously, relying on expletive riddle online rants and outlandish claims is not the way to entice new people to Salford and the game of RL. I actually think that if this did happen you'd end up with a mutual academy system, the best young players from both codes under the same umbrella who are then identified as being best suited to RL or RU, you will obviously have some who are ideal for both and I guess then it is up to the person/family involved to make a decision. Having this academy system run year round can only help the development of the people in the system both in their development as people but as players of both codes. As for the punishment for what happened at Huddersfield doubt it will be anything other than a fine and maybe put on notice of points deductions if this happens again, won't when we have our new RU fan base attending as they are much posher than us league types

Michiganred, I think you been in the sun too long, I love your positive spin but who would want to take on the debt, without a real model to work on. I seen a thread on the forum about possible new owners with very little interest. I think as a poster said this would have generated page after page a couple of year ago. For what it's worth I think it would be great news if it was true but cannot honestly see this happening.

I live in hope, think it's our only option going forward.

I remain optimistic.
Although I'm deeply suspicious of anything associated with Sale. If their owners are serious about owning the AJBell then we're a minor thorn in their side, and owning us could be a good way of controlling all the interests at the stadium. I could see us being pushed to the side once they've got what they want.
Of course I could be totally wrong and they genuinely want it to work as a joint venture controlled by one board.
If you can find a Stockport County fan ask them their opinion on Sale's time at Edgeley Park.
