Our biggest game of the season so far, there's no doubt about it. How do we all see this one going?
Interestingly, Hull have the 2nd worst home record in the league, only winning 5 out of 12 games at the KCOM Stadium with a points difference of 266:358. That's an average of nearly 30 points conceded at home every game. Meanwhile, Salford have the 3rd best away record in Super League, winning 7 out of 12 games with a points difference of 366:250. Form wise there is absolutely nothing between these two sides, although Salford have won 4 from their last 5 and FC have only won 3/5.
This season we've already played them twice, losing on both occasions. In April, we lost 16-23 at home in a poor quality game from memory, when FC were very off form at the time. In June, we went down 35-32, however Hull were miles ahead of us that day but we finished strongly. So, will it be 3rd time lucky?
I have a sneaky feeling that we will do it on Saturday but only if the weather stays dry, otherwise it will turn into a forwards battle that we just won't win against their monster pack.
Prediction, 34 - 22 Salford, Jackson Hastings MoM (3 assists and a try).
I'd keep the same 17 as the last week, and let's hope for a quicker game than against Huddersfield.

Gutted to miss the Hull game but I'm at Salford City-Port Vale and then heading over to Belfast to see Foo Fighters.
I'm not saying any of our remaining fixtures are easy but this is the one that worries me the most (despite our abysmal record at Headingley). Hull are so unpredictable but when they're on it they have so many weapons they're almost unplayable. Let's just hope they're having one of their off days and we're "on it". We were lethargic early on at the KC earlier this season but somehow managed to almost nick it at the end. Hopefully we come out firing this week and take a massive step towards securing that top 5 spot.

I can’t get there either as I’m in Scotland for the weekend and I think it is the one of the last 4 we’re most likely to lose
I agree it’s a really tough one to call. As salfordslim says we could (even should - we dropped the ball from the kick off for the last try) have won the away game despite them starting so well. Their backs are terrifying now - big, fast, skilful - abs must be a nightmare to defend against. And they’re pack isn’t bad either. With Sneyd, Kelly and Connor pulling the strings they are quite a team. The game we lost at home against them was probably our worst performance of the season until the Hudds home game we lost
But we know they are vulnerable. Their home form has got better but still not great and they concede a lot of points. They panic when they gave pressure on them I think. Tend to force passes and give penalties away. If we can keep it close for the first 40 and not let them score many I think we have a chance. But equally we could get blown away! Wish I was there to see it

Does anybody know why the match is on a Saturday at 5pm? And with Hull City playing at Brentford Saturday afternoon, thereabouts reason for it to be shifted for pitch reasons Seems a odd time.

Great to see Wood back but you can't have him, Lussick and Tomkins as well as 2 fully fit halves in the 17.
Id be giving Lussick a rest before the big run in.

I don’t think we’ve got anyone else fit to fill the 19 to be honest other than Olpherts who was woeful defensively again on Sunday. Sio must be fit which is why he’s been dropped. I wonder who the back up back rower will be with McCarthy injured and Lannon not 100%? Maybe Ben?

Hastings took a knock Sun, maybe Woods in. He didn't look fit against Huddersfield, and even though he ran the show he looked as though he was struggling against London. Was limping noticeably in the warm up.

Already spoken to someone at the club this week and Jacko will be fine.
Lussick won't be rested as they have a 13 day turnaround to our next game against Warrington which is more than enough before our big run-in.

Scot Mikalauskas tonight's ref. Not a big fan of his to be honest. Can be too fussy. Think we had him against Wire and he was poor. Let's hope he let's it flow tonight.
Oh, the reserve ref is J. Child.

Sadly can't see a Salford win tonight, I think most important is keeping the points difference as much in the + as possible and that there are no injuries.
The rest of the games though are winnable, Warrington are in total free fall and I'm amazed that the game against them has been brought forward meaning that they have a greatly reduced turn around after the CC final, Leeds are on the up but there can't be a better time to go to Headingly and get a win, Hull KR are just not a good team and I'd happily see them drop out of SL.
2/3 wins out of 4 for me, Warrington are looking shonky so nothing to stop us finishing above them.

Be very tough against a very strong hull side, just hope the lads do us proud and give them a game, don't roll over and give hull easy points
