Does leave me with a hell of a headache, would love Junior to get a winners medal at Wembley but then I just can't wish anything but a loss every game they play for Leigh.
Vive Le Widnes.

Just think of the 3 million Leigh fans descending on Wembley in their Sunday best. What a sight to behold.

Always been a big fan of junior on and off the pitch. He's a great ambassador for the sport, and I'd have thought that he would have joined the back room staff following his retirement.
Wishing him nothing but the best. Hopefully we don't see him playing against Salford.

Junior asked to leave end of story. He was a good player for Salford nowhere near the great some people are saying and best wishes at his new club. Let’s move on now. Friend. Sau his better on one leg than Olpherts. And on is display at Wire he would have been playing Sunday. If Leeds or anyone else for that matter had offered 100 hundred grand for Evalds do we let him go as well.

No one offered money he wanted to go do you not get that ? Olpherts is cack and we all know that but IW has to play what he has. Unfortunately if someone did come in with that sort of money for Evalds then the club would have to think seriously about it. Don’t you realise how skint we are

Absolutely Right Prestwich. 2700 today inc Season Tickets so app £10k only in cash inward. Don`t know how they carry on tbh.
Good luck to Junior but to get a 2 yr contract at 32 is very clever.

The majority will be wages and agents fees presumably. £200k loss on the last accounts so £10k a fortnight in gate receipts is unlikely to clear that anytime soon.

Agreed and I'm not suggesting we should have kept Sau. It just puzzles me how a club can be given 1.8m quid a year and still be massively skint. What are our overheads?

I think we’re looking at this the wrong way. Most of us,me included, aren’t qualified to assess the going rate for wages,NI,Insurance, ground rent, travel expenses, agents fees etc etc. I have no idea. What I do know is that a businessman like Koukash lost a bundle every year and most other clubs have far bigger income streams than we have. I think it’s a bloody miracle that the management have been able to cut our cloth so well and still retain a competitive squad year on year. Well done to Blease,Watson and the Directors.

Because sau was on 150grand a year and so was lui! That's just 2players out of the 1.8million!we dnt keep money for anything at the ground so that 1.8million is not going to last long!

I really wonder sometimes what our fans are on when talking about players being sold or let go to other clubs and what a disgrace it is. WE HAVE NO MONEY. It is a miracle that we are still here and competing. It’s another rebuild next year, no superstars just hard working players who have a point to prove in some cases and others who see Salford as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. It will always be this way with maximum crowds of around 4K. I applaud IW IB and the board for having sense and not going the pay over the top route for average players of previous management.

Not sure to whom you are referring but it certainly shouldn't be me. I've already said I have no problem letting Sau go now. I'm just asking HOW WE HAVE NO MONEY... Our wage bill is covered and then some by the RFL. We pay no rent on our ground. If we have 2000 season ticket holders lets call that £150 quid each taking into account juniors etc giving us another £300,000. Catalans at home is always going to be a poor cash week so lets say £15000 per home game? Another £195,000. Squad builder? £60,000 if i remember correctly. Not to mention sponsorship, golden gamble, merchandise (I know, I know...) I'm just playing devil's advocate here but nobody seems to have the answers.
