Wood and Sio in the squad so looking just about at full strength.
Does anyone know if Junior is injured or just not getting picked?

He’s forever sharing clips of himself in Total Fitness, Cryogenic chambers, compression trousers and training alone with Sio so I’d guess he’s not 100% fit. Just an educated guess mind you - really can’t see how Welham could have kept him out of the side after the London performance though if he was fit.

Can see Welham being the 1 to make way now Sio is back. Evalds Sio Bibby Inu Olpherts Powerful back line that.

Sa’u said he was fit last week, just not picked
Watson said in an interview a couple of weeks ago when Sio is back that Bibby and Olpherts will be fighting for the other wing spot. I’d guess the Big O will get the nod as Watto likes ‘how many metres he gives us coming out of yardage’ whatever that mangling of the English language means 😊
Of course things might have changed since then. I thought Bibby was excellent against Leeds and junior might have trained his way back into contention

I’m happy with any of the combinations to be honest. I think Sio and Inu have to be in and Sa’u/Welham/Bibby/Olpherts all have different strengths and weaknesses that mean there is no obvious choice over the others for me

They're missing their big guns in Masoe and Garbutt and with our forwards playing immense so we should in theory walk over them but it's Salford

I’m a fan of the latter two so aware that I might be slightly biased against Welham. Then again, Watson obviously knows best.

London Red - I’m a big fan of sau and Bibby too. I think Welham a better passer than Sau and as quick as him. I think he’s got a bit more ‘smarts’ than Bibby as he’s more experienced and has better feet. I think they can all be slightly suspect in defence but Sau is generally better than Welham in defence. Bibby probably stronger at making metres than Welham and a bit quicker I think they’ve all had some really good games for us over the last year and some average ones. Sau on his day is of course devastating and better than either of them but I wonder if his years are catching up with him (I hope not). I didn’t think Sau was in very good form before his injury. Wasn’t at London so not sure how welham played there but think he’s been good since he came back into the team in the games I’ve seen (after being deservedly dropped after Cas)

Who are the replacements for Masoe and Garbutt?

I fancy us to win fairly comfortably today, which means that we'll probably get tanked!
I'm not expecting a large crowd today so for those of us going to the game, we need to be in good voice and as loud as possible.

Judging by the amount of coaches I've seen this morning it'll just be me, you and grounds keeper Willy.

HKR are a strange one. They are inconsistent. Can be very good and can be very poor. We are their bogey team so hopefully that'll play on their minds.
Got a bad feeling about this one. Hope I'm wrong though...

Watson has made an ‘interesting’ decision to drop/rest JJ, keep Olpherts on the wing, Welham in the centre and play Bibby in the second row. I’ll say no more!

Let's hope it's not a long term injury with Jones, especially after letting Turgut go. God forbid we've had a 'can't turn down offer' from Leeds for Jones to take him now. He'll be one of the most in demand out of contract players come the end of the season.
