The pick of the individuals in my humble opinion....
Evalds was quality apart from the first 20 which was probably his wotst spell of the season Bibby was very good again Hastings tremendous with ball in hand. Looked dangerous every time he ran it, good passing and lovely offload for Bibby’s second. Kicking game wasn’t great though Dudson was superb. Made metres every time. Murray also very good Walker showed glimpses of what we can expect Lussick had one of his best games for us, tackling, running, passing, kicking Turgut was our best player I think. He was great in attack and defence. Fab footwork for his try

Thought we were going to get mullered after 20 minutes, but the players dug in, got back into the game and nearly won it. Should have won in my view, if those stupid errors hadn't been made. One call at the end was mystifying. 2 mins to go. Cas drop the ball 10 yards from their own line, regather then lose the ball in the tackle. So two knock ons. Penalty to Cas. We should have had one last attack on their line from 10 yards out. Lussick territory that. But well played generally.

I'm amazed Hastings played as according to Highton on BBC commentary he has been struggling all week, hopefully he hasn't made the injury worse by playing today, we will never have a better chance of beating Wigan than next Sunday but will need as many bodies as possible.
Wonder if Sio will play and if Junior will come back in as it does appear that Welham might be the one to fall on his sword following a less than stellar performance. Good job we have Chamberlain to come back in if we need him too.

How did Darrell Griffin play yesterday? According to Highto on the commentary he's still on our books!😂
6 days to the Pies and counting... with the shambolic Sean Edwards "contract/no contract" (the sort of thing you'd expect at Salford!) they're in a right state. Hopefully we take a full complement of players into the game and tear into them from the start. Please don't fluff this one boys as this could really be the catalyst for a great season and I reckon there'll be a bumper crowd so let's not f*ck it up eh?!🙏

I think Sau should be in for Welham then the WHOLE back line would look really strong for me, in fact IMO as good as any- EVALDS, SIO, BIBBY, SAU, OLPHERTS

Goal kicking has to be a consideration for Sunday. Chamberlain must come into the reckoning for a starting position.

Watson said that Bibby now owns the shirt. I’d be inclined to play Chamberlain at right centre. Clearly he can’t come in on the wing and, like Bibby,he believes himself to be a centre. For the moment Junior will have to bide his time. He’s not had a bad run as undisputed first choice.. And who’d disagree with The Font ,although I think he’s new to this forum,n’est-ce pas ?

Over 24 hours later and I’m still a little frustrated. Cas at home were there for the taking and the difference can be brought down to two unforced errors : Firstly Evalds brain fart of a pass to Welham after successfully collecting the kick gifting Cas the easiest 6 points they will get this season . Then Big Ben’s knock on at the first at the kick off which just took the pressure off Cas just as we were really getting into our stride. Without those two errors the game would have had a different score line. Not too concerned re Hicks . The ref will always be out of our control . However , still lots of grounds for optimism - esp our left sided attack ; which on Sunday we had a great view of from behind the sticks . When Hastings takes the line on he is often unplayable and you could see the Cas defence , which is normally fairly solid , looking distinctly uncomfortable at times working out how to deal with him . His offload after dancing around for a while was pure class. Lussick , Dudson and Turgot again excellent . Looking forward to Sunday already . Anyone know what the injury was to Ken Sio that took him off for a short spell ?

Dislocated his shoulder. Went off, popped it back in , then came back on!!! I said to my son that the way he was holding it , it was either a break or a dislocation . I went to get us both a brew , returned and Ken was back on the pitch , which answered the question. From a medical point of view , although to Ken it will seem fine, there is always a chance of further dislocation and usually an operation to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles is needed- selfishly I hope the medical opinion is to do that at the end of the season . If it keeps happening then there’s no choice but to do it ASAP

Hastings in the team of the week (and Hauraki) I watched the KR game and he did look decent in what was a shockingly poor game - did his usual of spoiling it by giving away penalties though.

Saints massacre Cas, shows how good we were against Saints. But for two bad reffing decisions ( verified by Sky pundits) it'd been a lot closer for us.
Reffing,Child's: missed an obvious 5 yard offside by Cas which got them a try but gave a forward pass by Saints to the type of pass he allowed when we played Leeds ( mind you had does work for Leeds zcouncil, so it's allowed)
