Watched Hastings come off. Seemed ok and wondered why he couldn't go back. Watson appeared to have to tell.him the protocol.
And better than last year V V and Brining never got on the field. Chsmberlain, Woods back for Catalan and Walker soon.
Keep the faith, survival year. Crowds averaging about 4,000 cf 2,500? Last season.

Hastings was livid he had to come off!
MR - it may be that he means we have no finances ‘beyond the Brierley deal’.

You could see Hastings was pissed, I thought it was more that he was doing a space cadet impression from the knock.

I genuinely don't know why we are in for Brierley apart from him being a utility player? Seems like a daft decision to me, especially when funds are limited. I'd prefer us to look at the forward pack to be honest. He had the opportunity to play for Salford not long ago but turned his nose up in favour of a megabucks deal at Toronto, so I'm nonplussed at him joining us.

I agree and would definitely rather have Inu or a prop with Wood and Lussick covering injuries in the halves if needed. If we are thinking about post-Hastings then that Holmes would be a better bet for me. But it seems that the decision has been made.

Give the lad a chance. His heart and soul are in Salford.
He's got one vital ingredient: speed and you can't teach that. Might be worth Hastings 7, Brierley 6, Lui 13 .

On a limited budget you need to prioritise, not muck around with the formation to accommodate a Salford lad, quick or not. So far,he’s failed at the top level, and it grieves me to say that

Watto seems to do a great job with those who appear to have failed Welham, Dudson, Chamberlain,Turgut, O'Brien etc
Could be another O'Brien but faster. All depends on what the deal is.

I'll always take midseason squad fillers, glad it's not a case of having to take any old player because we are already down to the bare ones.

Think we're in a better position than last year tho. V V and Brining never played, Koppy was being prissy, Murray, Woods, Bibby are a year stronger and wiser.
Keep the faith!

I personally thought that Koppy ran his blood to water every time he pulled the shirt and is the best front row player brought in under the Koucash regime.

No idea why,but he fell out with Watson. At London,in the play offs,he had one of his finest games. As far as I could see,he gave his all, when selected

Kopczak Performance at London was the only Good point about the whole Weekend, Don't know why they had falling out.with Watson It's the Only Blott on Jackson Hastings copybook so far , The fact he did such a Stupid pointless Tackle against Gavin O'Brien against Toronto which got him banned.

Gavin o’brien?? Gareth’s brother
I suspect the falling out was about Koppy flirting with Wakefield. The rumours he’d signed for trinity started before the fall out I think
