Worrying that the general lack of attacking prowess is getting much mention, we are meant (I think they are up there) best halves duo in a generation yet we looked pretty dire and honestly our kicking game was inept at best. Is there a new theory that a lower bomb is better as the height on some was incredibly low (and you'd think a strange tactic with the prevailing wind at the enormadome) and to me is is quite obvious that getting a short kick into the in-goal is a no brainer, collect and fall over for a try or get a drop out VERSUS collect 5 yards out and still have to wiggle over or throw a speculator and risk an intercept. I accept we wasn't our fluent usual self today nor last week, but its only week 2 r kyd!! I still think most teams are getting up to speed especially with new personnel to blend in Oh I accept that r sis, what did worry me slightly is that despite having JH & RL as halves we still go back to the ineffective drop of back inside to a runner. Personally as JJ seems to be back to his best we need to work out some special plays for him.

Flu. Cancelled training sessions. Players under performing.
Yet still managed a 24-0 score against a side that put 40+ on Wakey.
I'll take it.

Thought our attack was a bit flat, but maybe that was down to the illness. Really impressed with the defence, always difficult to nil any superleague team. Hopefully this will attract a big crowd for the Leeds game

Disappointing comments from many on here. The key reason for the few plays was down to the virus which destroyed training this week. Watto basically demanded that defence was top of the bill and the lads performed admirably. London will score a lot of points this year but they didn`t get any today. A game for the purist. Come on lads be more positive please.

Echo the statement above, just think how many we could have put on them with the lads all in full health, 2 from 2 brilliant start to the season, yeah there's harder games to come, but let's enjoy it and when we do lose a game, let's not get on there backs on here

Best defensive display from a Salford team. Assume I'm a purist.

There was no indication that there was any health issues within the squad until well after the game so people (me I'd guess) could only base initial comments on the facts as known.
I'll reitterate that if there has been illness then the team played well and did ven better nilling a competent SL team.

MR So their was someone at the same game as me.The best you can say about this afternoon was we won.Hudds could say they were full of injuries last week.Viruses and injuries all part of a football club you just have to live with it.
