Very surprised to see Griffin in there but good news that Tomkins has made it.
Good strong 17 that.

So do we think it's Bibby or Olpherts on the opposite wing to Sio then? Olpherts is a liability under the high ball but has more pace and I think Watto will go with Bibby for solidity.

I’d prefer Bibby but agree that he is better as a centre.

Might be contrived but would surely be better to pair Sio with Welham and Sau with Bibby, strength in the tackle on both sides rather than one weak one strong.

Bibby is safer but slower. They both finish well. I am happy to have either in.
If Tomkins is fit it will be great to have a replacement hooker in there. Can’t see him doing big minutes though if they have any choice

I'd start with Tomkins and see how long he lasts, not a good idea to bring him on and him blow up and have to bring Lussick back on.

Don't mean tacklers I mean more the go forward, Sio and Sau will be the first tackle options most of the year, just feel it's more balanced with the two power houses on different sides.

Agree but they seemed to ream Sio & Also think Welham will feed. Sio better. Tomkins I think has been out too long. Probably Burke as second hooker, safer.

Huddersfield have only named an 18 man squad. Mind games or genuine injuries?
I should fancy us for this but can see a narrow loss mainly through us having no recognised goal kicker.

Olpherts for me as a strong carrier. Agree Burke maybe best bet as Interchange also Welham & Sio know each others game from HK Rervers.

If the medical staff deem Tomkins fit and Watts has named him in the squad then for me he plays. We have no reserves or academy for him to get games so I’d spell him with joey
