Turgut wants the bollocking of a lifetime for rushing out of the line for the first Huddersfield try but then makes up for it with a nifty grubber. Some cracking skills getting the ball out wide, shows we will have the capability to score a hatfull, just need to make sure defence stays as sharp. TBF that was a bit of a brain fart but Jansin was pretty good IMO apart from that and will be a key player for us this year. I thought we were very patchy at times tonight but when we clicked we looked pretty devastating. Someone said that Watto gave us a 6/10 and I'd agree. More to come from this group of players but an excellent start. Thought the pack were excellent and Burke has a great set of hands for a front rower! Oh and the last try was comedy gold... they missed it on Sky Sports highlights but hopefully it appears when the club post their own highlights.😁 Also been told there were 1500 Reds there tonight. Superb turn out if there was and hopefully that result sticks another 1000-1500 on the gate for London next week!

I take my hat off to Lee Mossop,61 minutes of top powerful prop forward play. The basis of the win was built on our tremendous tenacity in defence. Our half backs defensively were tremendous as well. Evalds and Sio were on fire and providing they stay free of injury will frighten many defences this season. Flash looks like he is carrying an injury but continues to battle for the cause. Burke does a good job when Flash is off the field. My concerns are for the lack of a goal kicker at the moment and the depth of our squad in numbers. By the way this was a super performance against a rudderless Fartown.

Those highlights miss the surreal last try. They showed it on sky on TV What a superb performance. Perfect tactics applied excellently Great turnout and plenty of noise from the fans too

I thought Turgut was excellent tonight. I think they score that try whether he holds or charges the line. Hudds had the numbers and the space. He just made the decision for them
He got two assists. Made metres with every drive, tackled well and made some great dummy runs fir the sio’s second and Evalds’ 3rd tries

Dudson MOM for me. We all like the slick attacking moves but solid defence and hard yards with the ball in hand make that possible.

We've loads that pretend to go but don't. We need make it cool to support Salford rugby again.

The coverage is fascinating partly because they give with one hand and .....
The emergence of depleted Giants after being favourites for more or less every pundit is as amusing as it is pointless.
It's like they need a Red Devils screen saver which only works if we're at the bottom and losing and if we win then it was the opposition's weakness.

Great game last night! Perfect way to start the season. A few silly mistakes and penalties in the first half, but we clicked into gear in the second half and scored some decent tries. Didn't really give Huddersfield a sniff overall, I thought we were pretty much in control. Scoreline flattered them in the end. My only concern at the minute is the goal kicking, it could be costly in a closer game.

Time for my first whinge of the season...😁
Why are Wire top of the league when we both won by 20 points? I thought that the team scoring most points should be top in the event of identical points difference?

It’s a conspiracy! I agree with you though- when Leeds scored I messaged my dad to tell him we were still top!

I can’t believe I checked but we are top on the Sky Sports table - it’s just the BBC doing us over
